Lewis Carroll would totally hang out here, sipping espresso and eating Vegan pizzas, not that Mr Carroll was vegan but this is The Rabbit Hole, anything is possible. Its very comfortable and fun, the ambiance and the menu itself is Alice in Wonderland themed. The furniture was purchased from Hollywood prop houses, and the menu is very unique, offering something for everyone. The food is surprising and refreshing, something healthy for the whole family. The kids love the organic shaved ice. I am hooked on Weavers coffee, brewed to perfection. This is a must go on a daily basis.

I am so happy that Agoura/Westlake now has a great new restaurant. The quality of the food and taste is superb. They are friendly and service was great too. Best of all is that they have a large selection of gluten-free and vegan foods. I recommend the Mac and Cheese that was topped with fresh mushrooms. Also recommend the sweet potato fries and kale salad. Look forward to being a regular here.

Great spot for organic coffee and conversation. I've tried a few of the breakfast wraps, all of them are good! They also offer weekly organic fruit/veggie baskets to pick up - love that! The people who work here are helpful and really nice. I really like this place.

This is a really cool spot. Seating and indoor is different than other spots. Variety of healthy foods, so if you are a health nut come here. I only tried the Tuna sandwich which was sort of small but still good. The overall feel and vibe of this place is great.

Great little place with vegan options. Pet peeve: not being able to see total cost at cash register. They run your card without announcing the total. Daughter's veggie panini wasn't hot enough; my tofu wrap served too hot, without enough salsa to accompany. But overall, good little place

This is such a wonderful place! I had a yummy salad and my date had the most amazing panini!! The service was impeccable and we felt treasured as a customer. Thank you for such a lovely experience. I don't yelp much anymore, but when I do... it means it is a really nice time.

I'm very surprised that The Rabbit Hole Cafe has 4 stars. I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to write one now so that others may be warned before they have similarly negative experiences. I've been coming here intermittently for years, and I literally can't name one thing on the menu that has been memorable in a good way. I eat a mostly vegan diet, and I've had some incredible vegan/vegetarian food for much better value. My issues with The Rabbit Hole are the following: 1) The food is bland and just not very good for the most part. I've tried multiple things on the menu and never have I bit into something and been wowed or even had much of a positive reaction. And I'm such a foodie and usually easy to please. I've tried sandwiches, bowls, wraps, and none of it has been good or better than something I could make at home. 2) Some of the food is no bueno. I tried the grilled kale salad and wow... mushy soggy kale with the thick stems on. Very unappetizing. It's an insult to my beloved kale. Also the grilled veggie wrap... literally a couple pieces of flavorless soggy eggplant with three pieces of soggy spinach mixed in with some brown rice and several bits of quinoa. It made me sad. 3) The menu lacks creativity and definitely doesn't give much thought to nutrition. As a vegan/vegetarian place, you HAVE to offer more fresh options like salads. Only one salad on the menu and it's grilled soggy kale? Also, you HAVE to offer other high-protein options besides imitation meat, because as a vegan/vegetarian, I don't want anything that even resembles meat. I ordered the veggie wrap because the description said there was quinoa in it... there were literally 30 pieces of quinoa. I probably got 2g of protein out of that, if that. 4) The portions are TINY (see comments in section 2). Which wouldn't be a problem if the food was actually good. But combine that with ridiculous prices and bland soggy food, and you have quite the disappointment. 5) EXPENSIVE. I have no idea how the prices at this place were determined. Seems like they make quite the profit to me. I get that some ingredients in vegan food can be more expensive, but DAMN. $12 for that tiny soggy kale salad? I could make that same salad but better for like $2 at home. I really don't understand, and it upsets me. Compare Rabbit Hole to places like Sage Organic Vegan, Cafe Gratitude, and SunCafe and you'll find that you can get way better food that seems like it has higher quality ingredients and more imagination/creativity for the similar prices or cheaper. 6) The attitude of the staff. The ones I've interacted with seem pretty over it and don't value their customers. They never seem enthusiastic are don't put much effort into making the customer happy. I always feel rushed when ordering and like I can't ask any questions. They're also straight up rude sometimes. My boyfriend asked if they have any types of lettuce to add to his dish and the woman at the register said no. Then I noticed that there's a kale salad on the menu and pointed that out, to which the woman responded "kale isn't lettuce." My boyfriend asked "oh.. what do you consider it then?" She responded "I don't know." Okay dude... most people would consider kale a lettuce whether it technically fits this description or not. Don't be rude about it. And don't correct other people when you don't have an answer. It was super weird. 7) Goes along with #6 - no respect for the customer. My boyfriend tried to send back the soggy grilled kale salad and get something else, but the staff wouldn't let him because they said it's exactly as described on the menu, so he should have expected what he ended up getting. Maybe if they add the words "tiny" and "soggy" to the description that would have been a valid response. Unfortunately they chose to be cheap and petty about it when really it would have been no extra cost to them to let him get something else, leaving us feel very unsatisfied with our food and experience and losing customers in the process. 8) Sad food = sad Kelsey :( I've been here over 10 times, and each time I've left feeling pretty bummed and underwhelmed. Food has the capacity to make me so happy, but it also has the capacity to kill my mood if it's bad, especially if the overall experience isn't up to par too. I'm not trying to pay $15 anymore to feel sad. Like Dara M said, "$15 is too much to pay for disappointment." So sorry for leaving you such a negative review Rabbit Hole, but after so many negative experiences and disappointments, I feel the need to write one now. You have a lot of work to do, despite all the positive reviews. Maybe people are confused because you're one of the only vegan places around here, I'm not sure. Please be more respectful of your customers. I'll end on a positive note: the Tropic of Kale smoothie is pretty good. Not amazing, a tad too sweet, but still good. I'll give you that.

Disclaimer: not a typical vegan/gluten free eater I came here at the request of some of my vegetarian colleagues, and had pretty high hopes upon walking in. The cafe is really cute and decorated to hipster yogi perfection. Started off my experience with an A. The food was a little more expensive than I hoped, but wasn't that turned off by this at first since it was more or less expected based on the ambiance. I ordered a vegan BBQ chicken flatbread sandwich with sweet potato fries, coming out to nearly 18 bucks. They charged me for extra dipping sauce (always a no-no) too. Okay, cringeworthy but still hope. The food was edible at best. The "Chik'n" was dry and the flatbread felt stale (although most gluten free bread tastes like that in my opinion). The bbq sauce was awful too. The crispy fried kale chips were pretty good but obnoxiously difficult to eat as they'd crumble in your hands halfway to your mouth. The sweet potato fries were good--but how do you mess up sweet potato fries? Overall, highly disappointed in the food, but enjoyed the ambiance and decor. Not even my vegetarian friends gave this place a thumbs up. Probably gonna stick to veggie grill or something next time.

Raw, earthy, cute location with a home cafe feel. Good food but tiny portions so eat very slowly.

In search of some eggscellent breakfast in the area, I found this vegetarian and vegan-friendly cafe on Yelp. I decided on the SCRAMBLED BOWL, a triple layer choose your own adventure "bowl". First you pick between breakfast potatoes or brown rice quinoa for the base layer, then scrambled eggs or tofu for the middle layer, and lastly two items among several choices. I ordered quinoa, eggs, grilled eggplant and spinach. It was fine, just nothing special. Also the bowl itself is shallow so l wouldn't call it a generous portion.

Sorry, Rabbit Hole. You're being downgraded to three stars. I've been coming here less frequently, partly because I no longer work down the street, but, more significantly, because the last several visits have left me disappointed. And $15 is too much to pay for disappoint. Things started going downhill when they took my favorite item off the menu--my beloved Violet Shrooben. I adapted, branched out. They still had the Rabbit Hole bowl, but I brought my mom here to try it, and it was served with (what appeared to be and tasted like) regular potatoes, not sweet potatoes. When I brought it up with an employee, she was unapologetic, and insisted that they were sweet potatoes. I stopped in yesterday, craving something delicious and ordered a new croque madam they're offering--their grilled cheese (with tomato and pesto) topped with brie, grilled mushrooms, and an over-easy egg. I oped for gluten-free bread (because it's totally delicious at RH) for an extra buck, bringing my total, with tax, to just under $15. Bread, cheese, more cheese, grilled mushrooms, egg. What could be bad, right? It was inexplicably bland, totally meh. I left crestfallen. I think I'm giving up. Rabbit Hole, it was nice while it lasted.

This place was recommended to me by Agoura Hairstyling, which is right across the street from here, next door to the 7Eleven. Apparently they go there all the time and rave about this place, so, naturally, I had to give it a try! I got their tropical kale smoothie and it was grrrrrrrreat and tasted really clean, like I was putting good stuff into my body. I didn't have enough time to wait for any food, but the next time I am in the area I am going to take my time to try some of their yummy food. Their soups have been highly recommended as well. This little cafe is pretty small, located in a small strip mall/shopping center, there isn't a ton of parking there, but don't let that fool you. They have the cutest Alice in Wonderland decor here. I will definitely be back here to try something new the next time I am in the area.

The food is great and the staff is friendly, but it can be difficult to go sometimes. The hours are odd and parts of the menu are only available at certain times of the day. I am very grateful for another vegan friendly option in this area, but I would go far more often if they had different hours!

This place opened up a year or so ago.. and it keeps getting better and better. Its reasonably priced and my long time favorite is still 'Chick Pea Untuna Melt' add grilled onions on gluten free bread. Love it !!! Their smoothies are great, and they have non-gluten breads that you can buy and bring home. The fact its walking distance is even better. Thank you Rabbit Hole !

I came here for the first time today to have lunch with my best friend. Upon walking in we were intrigued by the interesting decor of the cafe and got excited. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich and my friend ordered one of the paninis. Long story short we loved what we got! The yelp reviews on my grilled cheese sandwich were spot on. We will certainly be coming here more often!

After one visit I can definitely say this is my new Agoura obsession, and I can't wait to visit again. Everything tasted fresh and somehow nostalgic despite being novel and 'trendy'. Wholesome, yet slightly indulgent--sourdough and rye breads reminiscent of corner delis, spreads and sauces that have a home-made charm--all served in a delightful atmosphere by friendly staff. This café with a conscience sure knows how to cater to picky eaters and food lovers alike! So far I have been here twice. The first time I came, I fell in love with their kale smoothie my heart forever. The breakfast bowl was okay but could use a lot less sauce. The second time I went there, I had kale salad, It was so good it honestly had to be the best salad marinated wise I have had in a long time. However, there were Tomatoes in it which is not listed on the menu and in my diet which is a strict version of paleo i cant have it.("nightshades are evil"). Any ways the it is a little hole in a wall which usually means a gem in the rough. Sitting options are very limited.so groups larger than 4 people good luck to ya.

I just don't get this place. They had strange hours as it is.. Now it's not open for dinner or the weekends. The food isn't that great, the inside is dirty and the employees are unfriendly. It's really sad because we could use more vegan restaurants out in this area.

What an awesome little place, in a non-descript strip mall! I drove right past it the first time. Fantastic grilled kale salad; love the long list of non-dairy options for lattes. Very friendly service! The only downside is that it was pricy, but probably normal for this area.

Obsessed with this place. I live in Simi but love to drive out for a lunch here when I get the chance. Such good gluten-free options. I am a huge fan of the sandwiches and the sweet potato fries with the pesto dipping sauce. Brunch on Sundays is delicious. Cute ambiance and great service every time!

Tropic of kale smoothie is my absolute favorite. The others sound good but I am so attached to the tropic of kale that I don't want to venture away and try something new. I know I probably won't be disappointed but this smoothie is seriously the best I've ever had!!

4 +++ Lets say 4 1/2. The reason for the 1/2 star deduction is possibly not their fault. They are what we would call in basketball, a "tweener". They are half coffee house and half restaurant. So while the food is great, they really get it, the service is disconnected, like a coffee house. So back to the food. Did I say they really get it? Healthy vegan delicious soups, sandwiches, salads, and entres. I have never had a meal I didn't love there. Shepard's Pie is my fave. Deserts too!

It's a great vegan spot . Their food is pretty good but a bit pricey for its quality. The amount of things from snacks to smoothies to deserts is great, though. I was wondering one thing - they don't have whole wheat or whole grain bread. I can't seem to figure out why? It's all white bread/ ciabatta - things like that. Anyway, it's a frequented spot for me because overall it's a nice healthy hole in the wall.

In the area on business and saw the great reviews, so I thought I'd stop in and check it out. I'm really glad I did! Cute place with great service and food. Staff - the gal behind the counter was super friendly and took the time to talk me through a few recommendations. She definitely seemed to be proud and happy employee. Food - delicious! I orderd the Eggless Benediction Bowl. I don't have a single bad thing to say about! I'm not a huge mushroom fan, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the mushroom bacon. The cheese sauce melted into the quinoa nicely making it nice and gooey goodness. And the chickpea patties were perfectly crispy. I opted for the tiramisu for dessert. It too was fantastic. Soft, moist cake with layers of creamy filling. And the serving size was huge! This tucked away hidden gem is definitely worth checking out!

(+) Monday Melted Madness - rabbitholefoods.com/wp-c… Really good grilled cheese with sweet potato fries, try the chipotle mayo dip! (+) Lemonade is refreshing or try a tweedle = arnold palmer. Tried a gluten free oatmeal chai cream cookie sandwich for dessert, really good. (+) Breakfast served all day!! (+) Staff brought out a water bowl for my dog after we sat at a table outside, very nice. Prices may seem a bit steep for the portion size, but that's the price of a "cafe with a conscience". Organic options abound and they serve almost everything from frittatas to sandwiches, soups, salads, pizza, and mac & cheese.

Delicious and rich vegan and veg eats. Super cute Alice in Wonderland theme decor. Servers were accommodating of the picky kiddos we were with who weren't into the healthier options. We went with some of the delish vegan brunch options that are so hard to find out in the world and sucked down several cups of their amazing coffee with coconut creamer (it's super sweet though, so go light if you are not a sweet coffee drinker.) There was a little table with some new agey resources from local vendors and rad community boards that we generously stashed our cards on. Overall we totally dug it - and this was a rad spot to hit on our way to hike paradise falls.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! I'm not vegan, vegetarian nor do I have any gluten allergies. I was just looking for a healthy fresh choice and found this place on yelp. And boy am I glad I found them! I pretty much pick up lunch from this place daily. I get the kelp toona salad. They don't use real tuna, it's some kind of bean mix and it's so yummy! I've tried so many other things and they're all amazing. The rabbit hole bowl is also amazing! Their grilled cheese with pesto aioli is also a must have. You can just tell whoever put together these ingredients REALLY knows what they are doing. It all just goes together so well for that perfect bite! Really good smoothies and coffee too! Loveeee it here! My new favorite place.

OMGGGGGGGG !!! Words cannot describe how much i am in love with this place. I honestly think this is by far the best Vegetarian place that i have tried in America so far. Every single item that i tried so far is 5/5 or 100% !!!!!! Here are the reasons why this is my fav vegetarian restaurant: Restaurant: the restaurant itself is located in a small plaza. The interior decor is very calm and peaceful. Its also very cozy and warmth with different shapes of tables and chairs. It is very casual and they also sell some natural or eco friendly products at the front near the register. Food: -Sweet potato fries: OmG this place has the best sweet potato fries i have ever tried. Their sweet potato fries beats both native food and veggie grill. I freaking love their green and orange/yellowish dipping sauce. Those are very unique and its soooo good like i have never taste it before. I felt like crying + flying when i was dipping my fries in those. Its also very fresh and not overwhelming with salt and sweetness. The taste balance for those sauces is perfect. -Coffee: I got their ice coffee latte and it was good. The coffee quality was good and fresh. They dont add sugar in those so you can go add some honey or agave in there -Grilled cheese and tomato sandwich: OMG i have to say, i was extremely impressed when i tried some of this from my friend. Honestly no other vegetarian and none vegetarian places have make it this legit. The bread itself is very good and high quality. The melting of the cheese with the tomato was just soo perfect. Everything was in harmony and perfect balance esp when i took bites into the sandwich. -Brussels sprout bowl with egg: this seemingly simple dish they also delivered well. The brussel sprouts was well toasted and done that it was kind of crunchy and very flavorful when i ate it. There was mushroom underneath that was well done too. Everything was salted and seasoned in good amount !! Service: the service was good i supposed. The workers bring the food to you after you order. Conclusion: I think this is by far the best vegetarian place i have ever tried since the quality of the food is consistent and each dish that I have tried so far is 100% perfect and good, which not a lot of restaurants are able to do. Some restaurants may be really good and well known for one dish, but not good in others. This restaurant makes everything well and i can tell the owner and cooks put a lot of effort into creating their food. I am also very impressed with them being very environmentally conscious to the point that even their straws are made out of paper ones instead of plastic. I am definitely returning here in the future and try out more dishes. I really recommend this place to anyone who loves vegetarian food =)

Stopped in at this adorable café to find out what other vegan dining options we have in the County. I'm always on the look-out for places I could bring my vegan father-in-law and this is a definite gem! It's a small little restaurant with very attractive décor. Most of the chairs are hard wood but there are some beautiful sofas as well. Today I tried their Mac N Cheese, an almond cranberry ball and a lavender lemonade. I ate the dessert ball first. It was dense and a bit dry, but had a nice flavor. The cranberry really made it come alive. The lemonade tasted completely unsweetened, which isn't my style, but the lavender added a really nice touch to the flavor. It was labeled as made in house and was not finely strained (which I liked). The mac and cheese was creamy and had a good flavor. It didn't say on the menu that it would have onions in it so I was surprised to see some, but otherwise I enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and also trying to avoid animal and/or gluten products.

An adorable place with yummy food! I've been here a few times for lunch and it never fails to please. Today I got the unBLT and it was amazing...it used vegan ingredients but I swear it tasted just like a real BLT! I would definitely recommend.

Great place to come sit, chill, and work. The coffee is tasty. Free refills. Very friendly people; very comfortable room. Tasty vegan snacks - I had the protein balls, little sweet ganaches (in my case, of Pumpkin, oat, and spice). Just a winner - next time I'm in the area I'd look for an excuse to sit here for awhile, work and grab a snack.

Expensive. Correction, extremely expensive for a sandwich. Healthy as it may be, it's just on the overpriced side of things. Nothing really wowed me. Their sweet potato fries were quite good though.

I've been coming here for a while, and have never eaten a single menu item that I didn't absolutely love. The staff is super friendly and they always make great recommendations when you can't decide what you want. The cafe has tons of seating and is tastefully decorated. Great atmosphere, wonderful employees, and even better food.

Decent food, but I feel it is over priced for the portions they serve. I understand its all vegan, but you could easily make half their menu at home and be just as satisfied. The place is designed well and you would think you're in a cute little cafe in downtown LA, not Agoura Hills.

I was so happy to find vegan pancakes that it was the first thing I ordered. They were thin and more like crepes and a bit gritty. Turns out they use garbanzo flour (it would be nice to see that disclosed on the menu for those of us who have problems with legumes). The pancakes were still delicious and the latte was perfect. They had a great selection of packaged vegan baked goods in a cooler. Service was really excellent and friendly - I would definitely return and recommend Rabbit Hole to other vegans traveling through the area.

Great place for a quick, vegan meal! Definitely expensive for the portion you get, but it's a small, family owned place so it's somewhat expected. They have awesome smoothies and a cool atmosphere!

Rabbit Hole's dishes are absolutely spectacular! They have some great healthy choices I cant wait to ask my SO to try and make for me :) The only thing that I knocked off a star for was that I've been here over 3 times this summer and not once were the tables spiffy clean. I get that they get busy around lunch especially on the weekends, but they cant just leave dishes and cups around after a customer leaves and wait for us to ask them kindly to please clear the tables. We've had to ask every time we've visited. Other than that, Rabbit Hole has ample parking in its lot and offers a delicious variety of well... rabbit food. (haha just kidding) My friends like to make fun of me for eating vegetarian 'cause they associate it with "rabbit food"

The portions seem small but somehow I always leave feeling happy and satisfied. I love the décor! Hipsters at every table on their laptops, I suddenly feel like I'm Silverlake. Try the brie and turkey sandwich or the shrooben. Oh, and the gluten free bun takes the award for best sandwich bun out there. Hop on down the rabbit hole, you'll like it!

Had the Vegan Friday Special. It was good. The burger was decent, had some good flavor. The salad wasn't the typical pile of tasteless iceberg lettuce. The sweet-potato fries were the best I've had (and I've been trying them everywhere lately). These were seasoned with something that made them delicious and UNIQUE. The decor is whimsical, fun and light-hearted. People seem to make themselves at home; lighting candles themselves, feet on the couch, etc ... So I see this as a space for the slightly alternative crowd amidst a sprawling hilly suburban sprawl. Its a good safe, clean place for a vegan meal; though they do serve meat and dairy.

I was looking forward to trying this place as the reviews were really high. My husband and I drove there on a Sunday and they had their "brunch menu". It's the only day of the week where they offer sit down table service. We both ordered the Rich Madame bowl-grilled cheese stuffed with Brie, another type of cheese, tomato and pesto. Then it's topped off with sautéed mushrooms and a fried egg. Sounded good and filling. What I loved was their gf bread. It was excellent. The mushrooms and egg on top didn't really make sense, so I put them on the side. Everything was fresh, but, bland. That is where I knock off a star. I needed salt, pepper and hot sauce just to jazz it up. It was still lacking in the flavor department. Also, it's not a "bowl", in the usual sense of the term. It's a sandwich with mushrooms and egg on top. We also ordered a side of their "salted fried Brussel sprouts". Umm. There was NO salt on them. Thank goodness for the salt shaker I grabbed. The other star I knocked off is because our particular server didn't know answers to most of our questions. She kept having to "check". Even something as basic as "what is your soup of the day?". Service was timely, food is good, the place is cute-ish. I found it more old fashioned than whimsical. I'll be back in hopes that their flavor is upped. There's serious potential. However, today, we payed $50 for lunch and it needed a bit too much help on my end to flavor what could be an AMAZING sandwich!

All I got to say is, I'm upset that I wasted so many years with out this place in my life OMGGGGGG!!!! All I got to say is celestial and not of this world!!! The toona melt is ridiculous good.... The mac n cheese with the crispy kale and sauteed mushrooms, yummy!!! The twinkies tasted just like a real twinkie without the chemicals. This is my new place... OMG and the prices are so cheap, for vegan organic and taste like heaven, I'm sold if I could I would eat here every day....

I dunno about this place. :-( It was either too cool for me, or too cute for me ... one way or another, it went over my head. We had come before in the beginning. Back then, I'm almost sure that it was strictly vegetarian/vegan. Now they serve meat (eggs, turkey, more). And, of course, they have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. First off, it's the type of place where there is no wait service. You order from a counter and they bring out the food to you. For some strange reason, they ask for tips even though nobody really takes care of you while you're there. You even have to get your own silverware and napkins. The dining room is, according to my friend, "whimsical". Well that's true ... if "whimsical" means a lot of strange tables and chairs, many which are not comfortable or have backs, of varying heights, with tables that you need to put napkins under so they don't rock to and fro. I ordered the vegan tomato soup. Strangely it came with pasta in it. It was more of a pasta dish than a soup dish. I enjoyed it, but the soup/sauce didn't taste like much more than canned sauce, I'm sorry to say. It wasn't bad. But it wasn't overwhelming good, either. I mean, I'm not plotting and planning my next visit to get my hands on that soup. The vegan mac and cheese with mushrooms and kale chips was very good. Sort of a meager amount for the price, but it was tasty and enjoyable. The bathroom was very clean and I always appreciate that. In keeping with the hippie/save-the-earth theme (minus the cooking of animals and fetuses), they provided some good ol' scratchy toilet paper that doesn't work as well as the paper made from rainforest. As we were leaving, a group of young people, 18 to 24 walked in, dressed sorta freakily. They were hip and cool, there is no doubt about it. They really loved the place. They made themselves at home on a couch, lit candles and ate holding their food. And that's when it occurred to me. The Rabbit Hole Cafe is for those types of people. Young. Cool. Hip. Hell, when you're 19, you don't need comfortable chairs or tables that make sense! You don't need anyone to take care of you. You get up and do everything yourself. And that's when I realized ... I'm not young. I'm not cool. And I'm not hip. The three stars may very well reflect not the rating of this trippy, hippy place that would make more sense to me if they didn't serve animal flesh, but of me and the old curmudgeon I've become.

What can I say? I loved this place so much I worked here for almost 2 years, but you know what? Even though I'm off pursuing my career in writing I still keep coming back here. Because the food is AMAZING. Who doesn't love an Alice in Wonderland themed adorable coffee shop off the beaten path. My boyfriend who now lives in Hollywood bemoans the fact that I don't bring him grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches anymore. I keep trying to make the Tropic of Kale smoothie at home and gosh darnit it doesn't work. Something about the love and care the owners put into the restaurant seeps into the food. And of course, now that I'm gone they come out with my FAVORITE drink. I'm sorry. I grew up in San Francisco, right by Ghiradelli Square drinking their sea salt caramel hot chocolates. I know what delicious is and the fact that rabbit hole made a vegan version for my poor dairy allergic self is some kind of miracle. I have to say it again. VEGAN SEA SALT CARAMEL HOT CHOCOLATE. All made in house. If you want vegetarian comfort food with whimsy and love do yourself a favor and come here.

I am so thrilled that I discovered this place because the Conejo Valley doesn't exactly have a large selection of vegan/vegetarian food. My mom and I had lunch here and split a chickpea tuna melt, a violet shrooben, and a half order of sweet potato fries. Both sandwiches were gooey and decadent, but I think the tuna melt was my favorite. And this place has the BEST sweet potato fries I have EVER had. I think they add rosemary and they are super crunchy, plus you get a choice of dipping sauces (we had the pesto). They also have a cute gift shop area and sell items to go. They even have large vegan cakes you can buy. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items!

With a name like 'The Rabbit Hole,' it's no surprise that the cafe is Alice in Wonderland themed. Most of the food is vegan and although I don't consider myself to be vegan, I can still dabble in eating vegan food from time to time. I have a feeling I'll be eating here a lot since I'm working in the area now. So for my first time I tried the kelp noodles with a side of vegan tuna. The kelp noodles were interesting. Essentially, it was a bunch of noodles made of kelp obviously, on top of a bed of spinach. Healthy... to the max. My side of vegan tuna was pretty good. I couldn't tell you what was in it, but it did kinda taste like tuna. I also got sweet potato fries which are always amazing no matter where you get them. I ended up spending $22 for lunch here by myself. Ouch. I'm not sure how but it happened but it looks like eating vegan comes with a price.

one of my favorite restaurants. I can come here and get pretty much anything and know that I am eating clean, healthy, and delicious food. Got the Toona melt and it was awesome. The GF bread tated like the most delicious bread (even better than non-GF regular bread) PB Mint ball was a neat find as well. I can't wait to try everything on the menu. :)

Has potential but falls just a bit short. Funky, eclectic decor but a bit outdated and uncomfortable. friendly staff but sometimes overwhelmed when busy. Food is generally pretty tasty. I take it down from 4 to 3 due to poor management. Seems like the staff assignments are lacking and the menu changes might make financial sense but they aren't customer focused and Never come with a solid explanation. I.e. No egg whites. I get they are expensive and potentially wasteful, but give us options. Like we can pay more. Or maybe they can use non-fresh boxed egg whites and ask is if we want that instead.

Found this place on Yelp, while working locally in the area, as a place to grab lunch. Atmosphere/Vibe: Part cafe, kitchen, coffe shop, antique, farm land, grandmas house! It does have a lived in, worn in blanket kind of feel, and as another yelper mentioned, would fit right in the Pacific Northwest, especially Portland! The Alice in wonderland motif is apparent, but not overdone, and blends in well with the decor. Food: I had the Vegan Burger. Very tasty, and light. Good portion, though no side included. They have many vegan & vegetarian options, along with gluten free options. They serve breakfast all day as well. Value: Depends on what you order I found. Originally I had planned to get both a veggie burger and side of sweet potato fries, but that would run just shy of $14 w/ tax.. Bit on the high side, imho, for a cafe. However, nearly all the items are under $9 individually, so still reasonable, just bear in mind if your adding sides, and extra's. The quality is there though, I was happy with my meal.

I've been twice. Once to meet a friend for dinner. The 2nd time to pick up for lunch from work. It's delicious! And has gluten-free options, which I need. So that makes me so happy! Plus a lot of organic choices. It's got a cute hang-out kind of vibe that reminds me of a cool Portland coffee house. The first time I got the grilled cheese with tomato sandwich. I felt funny choosing this out of all their options, but it was so good! I was happy I did. We got the sweet potato fries, delicious. And a pumpkin type of muffin that was gluten-free and sugar-free that they heated up that was also yummy! This time I ordered the veggie bean burger (not sure if that's the name) and I have to say it's probably the best veggie burger I've ever eaten. Also got the sweet potato fries again and this time with chipotle mayo and wow, yummy! My only issue I had was I ordered ahead and the waitress had me wait in a 15 minute line to pay. But when I got to the register they said, oh you could have come straight up here! Argh! But that doesn't change the fact their food is delicious. Live and learn. But definitely worth going to! A little pricier than I'd like, but worth it.

They have Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. I love the salads, and vegan toona. Cupcakes and cookies are great too! Nice little place, wish it was bigger inside, they need to expand! - or move to Simi Valley :)

This is slowly becoming a favorite for my wife and I. Yes, the prices are a little on the high side, but the food is so delicious, I would pay a premium. The serving portion is adequate. We are not vegetarian, nor vegan and we love it. A quiet hang out place for some quality time together.

This is one of those rare places where everyone can eat in harmony regardless of their dietary restrictions or inclusions. You can be vegan, gluten free, vegetarian, meat loving, egg free, nut free, etc. and there will be plenty of delicious options for you on any given day. I got a stuffed portobello mushroom salad and the gluten free mac & cheese with crunchy kale. OMG.The mac and cheese was to die for. I could have eaten an entire bucket of this stuff. The crunchy kale on top was a fantastic touch and made an otherwise average dish, over the top amazing. I have since started putting crunchy kale on all of my gluten free pastas to really jazz it up (gluten free pasta is so bland). The portobello mushroom was okay but had a very earthy taste to it. More so than usual. This is the problem with organic food sometime. I still ate it but it paled in comparison to the mac and cheese. I don't live anywhere near here but I wish I did because I would definitely come back to try more dishes. I started going to a new hair salon nearby so whenever I need to get a trim or what have you, I will make it a point to come to Rabbit Hole and grab lunch. It is a bit pricey, but not really much worse than other GF friendly places I've gone.

This is what healthy vegan and vegetarian food was meant to be. The imaginative menu and incredibly delicious food is beyond awesome. I have been vegetarian for 36 years, and this is the absolute top of the list in my opinion. If I were stranded on a desert island, and had to choose only one restaurant to put on it, this would be it.

I have been looking forward to trying this place for a while, based on both personal friends & Yelp reviews. Tucked away in an older & modest strip mall, this place does not hesitate to shine. Very reminiscent of Hemingway's in downtown Kapaa, with the eccentric charm. You walk up to the counter to order, passing by multiple cases of intriguing desserts, salads, and drinks. Not everything here is vegan and I don't think everything is organic, but the menu offers a huge array of homemade delectable treats. I opted for the vegan veggie panini, fruit & kale smoothie, and a nugget of chocolate bark. The chocolate bark blob was sublime. Fantastic high quality chocolate taste. Spot on!! The smoothie was equally delicious. A perfect balance of tart & sweet. The panini was exceptional. My carnivorous husband snarfed half of it & raved about the flavor. Rather stunning indeed........ (You'd have to know him. Grunt, grunt). :) I will be back to try more items. I will be sure to bring my hippie daughter & we might even take on the "whoopie pie"....... Or two! Solid 4 stars. Service was brisk, food was spot on, restaurant was charming with an extensive menu. I can't wait to be back!

On my second visit to The Rabbit Hole Cafe, I decided to try the Vegan Panini and Sweet Potato Fries. The menu describes the panini as a layered sandwich of hummus, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and grilled eggplant pressed in Ciabatta bread. It was very moist and flavorful and while the Shepherd's Pie was good, the Panini was even better. The Sweet Potato Fries were not overly sweet and went very well with ketchup. I'm not one for Sweet Potato Fries, but I enjoyed theirs.

One of my favorite local restaurants. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but for the price you get locally sourced, sustainable, organic deliciousness. The Brussels Bowl has got to be one of my favorite things, along with the Curry Chicken sandwich. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Actually 3.5 stars, but the staff is so pleasant I'm rounding up. This is a charming little spot, with the feel of a local coffee house. (Although they make lots of coffees- regular, espresso, latte, cappuccino,,,café here is weak, and has no distinct flavor. But they serve the cappuccino and latte in the most wonderful rounded mugs that feel really good in your hands on a cold morning.) More to the point...the food is good enough, and we LOVE having VEGAN options. The Wrap was simply that - a very small, fairly bland wrap - with a burnt tortilla. (yuk...). The Vegan BLT was a winner (with their own VERY TASTY vegan bacon, mushrooms and tomato) but the bread - BURNT. They also have a rule about not requesting the vegan bacon on other items...not even for a price. They are firm. So don't get any wild ideas. Yes, I'd stop here again, I'd repeat the VEGAN BLT. But I would always ask at any order to NOT burn the toast or tortilla.

A friend of mine came for a visit. I did a quick search for vegan options in the area and this place popped up first. (I'm and neither vegan or vegetarian, my friend is vegan.) The food was so good! It was fresh and delicious and so flavorful. When I've had a vegan food in the past and always seemed a bit wanting: not good enough or filling enough for me. Not here. Everything was fantastic. My friend (who lives in SF) said it was some of the best vegan food she's had. The service was nice and friendly. I liked all the premade/frozen options and can't wait to try some of them. The small gift shop up front was really cute. Lots of great gift ideas. My only complaint/request would be for them to start serving beer and wine. I would be more inclined to eat there for dinner. This won't keep me away but it will probably keep this as a lunch only option for me.

The Rabbit Hole has a nice environment. The menu is filled with healthy options. When you order something, you don't know you are eating something so healthy. For a drink I recommend to order the freshly squeezed orange juice. Delicious! I think it's great for kids.

This place has a cute and antique Alice n Wonderland theme. The only thing on the menu that caught my eye for being really healthy besides the kale salad was the raw kelp salad. I ordered that dish. It was crunchy and crisp, but very bland. It had a lot of potential but it doesn't have my vote for flavor. I do want to come back for the Tropic of Kale smoothie, and the grilled kale salad. According to other Yelpers, the grilled kale salad is a must.

Such an adorable coffee house with delicious vegan/vegetarian options and nice staff! I love all the vegan options here but I think I love the vibe more. It reminds me a little bit of my favorite coffee house in Orange County. I need to visit the Rabbit Hole more often, there aren't many places like this in the area.

Oh why oh why, didn't I take the Blue Pill! Instead I choose to see how deep the rabbit hole goes! Queen of Hearts Salad- Quinoa, chickpeas & beets, and mixed greens. Fresh vegetables, that tasted like healthy vegetables. Yuck!! I was reminded of the phrase , "Eat your vegetables, they're good for you!" With every bite, I kept hearing that phrase in my head. Vegan Panini-Hummus, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and grilled eggplant. A sandwich that wouldn't let you forget you were eating healthy. I did not like the taste. Shepherd's Pie-Grilled vegetables, beans and grains, topped with sweet potato cauliflower mash. I was able to eat without regretting my choice of eating here. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the purest, healthiest, food available. But did it really have to taste like that? I have eaten at many Vegan restaurants that have prepared the vegetables in a delectable fashion. However this is not one of them! Service- Excellent. Greeted with nice warm smiles, and treated like a valued customer. Parking-Medium lot shared with other businesses.

I absolutely adore this place. Everything I get is just plain delicious. Sure, it's a bit pricey for its European portion sizes, but it's a culinary and social experience every time. Vegans/ Vegetarians/Omnivores/Carnivores/Everyone: you really must come try this place.

Loved this joint! Decided to try this place out with my parents and it was a really nice experience! The food was pretty good, I should have probably gotten some extra dressing and sauce on the side. Parking space is limited and they have a lovely set up outside should you want to get some fresh air while you sip on your organic latte. I would definitely come back! Save one of those vegan brownies for me :)

Once upon a time I saw a wild baby rabbit in a park near here. Naturally when I saw the name of this restaurant, I felt compelled to try it out. However their very small portion sizes reminded me of just how tiny that baby rabbit was. How they can getaway with this is beyond me. In my mind, the food value here just does not add up to 5 stars. The background of this being that I am sensitive to very small portions. Years ago, on a flight to Thailand, I perceived having nearly starved and that experience stayed with me. Yesterday, my dad's roommate had a really bad workday. It was so bad she cried. I felt sorry for her and thought I would treat us all here. But after I saw what we got for the money I spent, I wanted to cry too, whaa whaa! They both ordered vegan burgers. In all of my 40+ years of being a vegetarian, these had to be the smallest ever. Seriously if I could have rolled up that vegan burger in my hands, it would have made 2 vegan meatballs or 1 jumbo sized = 2 stars. My Shepherd's pie was good, though not great = 2 stars. The outdoor patio with a far reaching umbrella was nice = 2 stars. The attention to detail on presentation of the dishes, decoration wise, my dad thought they deserved an A+ for effort. As far as his lemonade, although he said it tasted good, there was no lemon slices/wedges in it. He disclosed it was a little watered down by the ice. That latter part is ok, because his doctor said he needs to drink more water anyway. After we finished eating, my dad's roommate decided to drive forward out of the parking lot. She discovered part way through, it only goes one way. It does not go in a circle and the entrance/exit is the same. Yes, this place is a true rabbit hole. If you read another Yelper's review, specifically Angelica's, she reported that the first time she came here, she got into a minor collusion. So be forewarned, enter parking lot with caution. Give yourself plenty of time and space, because the parking lot fills up fast. Anyhow back to being inside the car. A car in front stopped, my dad's roommate stopped. The parking lot got bottlenecked. She started to reverse her car. I sensed it might be the tipping point to set her over the edge for the day, as it got increasingly difficult for her. I offered to drive, she quickly acquiesced, we both got out of the car and exchanged seats. I ended up driving backwards a way, maneuvered around a couple more cars & got us home. Small restaurant + very small portions + chaotic small parking lot = small desire to return.

Used to love this place....it was one of the only gluten free and vegan places around. We went with the other day with 3 friends. All of us loved our meal but 1 person. They realized what they ordered came only gluten free and vegan, but only after it got to the table. They thought it was a dish you needed to request gluten free and vegan. They asked if there was something the kitchen could do about the mix up, they were told they needed to check with the manager. The waitress came back and said there is nothing that could be done, so my friend would just need to buy another meal. Two of us got up and spoke to the manager and were still told no. Well all we can say now is, "we wont be back". There are plenty of places that serve this type of food and actually care about their customers.

For starters; I'm vegan. My husband is not. This was a great place for both of us to get preferred meals and still enjoy a restaurant atmosphere. I got the vegan grilled cheese with tomato, mushroom, and greens. He got the regular grilled cheese. We both enjoyed the food. It IS very "cafe" feel. Limited seating, like a coffee shop. They had fun/funny signs in the parking lot and the cashier was very helpful. Because they serve organic and local, they can't give you a refund just because you don't like the taste of your dish. I understand this. Is costs more to provide local, fresh ingredients. I enjoyed their food, no questions asked. They even had cupcakes!!! I didn't love the atmosphere, but it wasn't BAD. It just wasn't an "oooooh aaaaah" experience when it comes to atmosphere. I HIGHLY recommend looking at the hand held menu and NOT the chalkboard menu. So much more information on the paper menu. We were passing through on our way to LA and I totally recommend this as a food stop for anyone in need.

First off, The Rabbit Hole Cafe is NOT Vegan, and not even Vegetarian. They serve animal flesh: fish, chicken, and turkey. For many vegans, this would be a turn off, so I want to clarify that the place is not vegan, even though it says so on Google maps. That said, it is a very vegan-friendly restaurant. Almost all of their menu options can be veganized, and they also have many purely vegan options. It's very clear form the menu, and many of them are gluten-free too. The food is good, my favorite things are veggie wrap, chocolate bark bites, and their sweet potatoes fries with awesome dressings are great. The staff is very friendly. You order at the counter and pay before you get your food, then sit down, and they bring it to you, usually very quickly. Parking is easy nearby. Sometimes they have live music. The store is creatively made in the theme of Alice in Wonderland. Great for family and kids. I wish they had drinks under $2. So far I only found drinks for over $3.50 whether a glass of almond milk, or bottled natural soda. Peace.

Came here for a Vegan Sunday Brunch and was quite impressed. Got the vegan eggs Benedict, super tasty. The misses got a tofu scramble that was pretty good also, we swapped plates half way though just to experience each. We were having a late brunch so there was no wait and the server was friendly and helpful. The only downfall was the only hot sauce they had was a Siracha from Trader Joe's, kind of expected something better. Our server was nice enough to bring out his own personal stash of hot sauce which was habanero based, that did the trick. The decor is very Alice in Wonderland but would you expect anything less with a name like The Rabbit Hole.

An awesome lunch gem! It is tucked in the corner of a mini plaza. Healthy and yummy options for any appetite. I got the Raw Sesame Kelp Noodles + Chickpea Toona. It was super delicious! The kelp noodles are a great paleo substitution for pasta. The Chickpea Toona was very interesting - it's made with chickpeas, veganaise (vegan mayo?) and other ingredients that make it have the texture of tuna. I was oddly addicting, because I kept eating it to see if I liked it or not. I think I did :) Their daily specials are great deals too! I would come back and try their pastries and other breakfast items.

Really excited to find The Rabbit Hole. On my quest to find a great coffeeshop to hang out, do a little work and be in close proximity to Thousand Oaks... this place exceeded my expectations. The menu is great, it is very obvious how much care the owners have taken in putting together the food selection and picking ingredients. I've enjoyed everything I've tried. Love the little touches like when you order a pumpkin muffin and they halve it and warm it on the grill.

Well first we came all the way from Columbus Ohio and were starving. I ordered the chick pea melt and my partner ordered the scramble bowl. The bowl was very bland and had zero flavor. He ate it because he was hungry and we had to hit the road but it wasn't worth the money. It tasted as if they threw together all the different components without seasoning any of them, and the bottom of the bowl was watery. My sandwich was very runny and was hard to enjoy because of the sauces dripping from it, plus I saw the guy make my salad with his bare hands and no gloves after he was playing with his phone. The worse part is that I've never experience costumer service in a food establishment before that has a rule that they do not refund/replace or accommodate a customer if they do not enjoy the meal. I took two bites and sent mine back and they did nothing to fix the situation, but offer me to the option to order another meal full price. They said it was due to the cost of food, however if you cannot afford to accommodate your customers then perhaps being in the food business isn't the best option. The smoothie I had was good but I wasted 9 dollars on a meal I didn't eat and wasn't offered my money back or a meal to replace it. Very dissatisfied and upset about my experience.

It breaks my heart to give this adorable little cafe 2 stars but I just can't with the service here. It's awful. Every time I'm here (and I frequent this establishment a lot) I am waiting an ungodly amount of time for everything. I thought by calling in my order I would eliminate the waiting and therefore fall in love all over again but... Alas... Not the case. While I stood in line (not part of the issue, naturally I'd wait my turn) I had the pleasure of watching the girl at the register let someone cut in front of me. She wanted a refill of her drink, again, no big deal, give the girl the refill, but it literally took 5 minutes. I was not able to pay for my order (which was ready, getting cold, while I waited for this to all take place) until she got her refill, which is crazy since the girl at the register was not the one refilling it. She just stood there doing nothing. Ugh! This is not my first annoyance with the service here. I have looked past the rudeness and unhelpful nature of some of the people that work here but today I just can't take it! If you can look past the awful service, this cafe is to die for. Good food, adorable atmosphere. But don't go if you like to be treated well.

The Rabbit Hole Cafe is a quaint little vegan restaurant that tastes delicious and has (at least I think) a healthy vibe to it. The Rabbit Hole has a variety of different vegan options from appetizers, entrees, desserts and cafe items. We got the mushroom soup, grilled kale, mac & cheese and two different types of coffee. These came in different sizes, ranging from $4.50-$10.00 depending on the item/size. All of the items had a very fresh taste to them. They were created very carefully and had that home style taste as well. The mushroom soup did need some seasoning and the price may be a bit much for some. One of the coolest parts is the atmosphere. It's very cool to see the entire kitchen right from where you're eating and the (I presume) husband/wife duo working together to prepare your dishes. One of our orders didn't come out and they were kind, prompt and helpful. The dining area is also unique with common style wooden dining areas. Parking is a little rough especially at the peak dinner times but there's some room in the back as well. Just do take note of some of the strange hours on certain dates - it may catch you by surprise. Otherwise, enjoy a very cool home-cooked vegan meal that is pretty delicious. [thumbs up]

Super cute and cozy cafe. Loved the decor. Went for lunch and was a bit disappointed with my order - vegan panini on gluten free bread. Boyfriend had the salami and liked it a lot. My order would have been great had it not been for the bread. When my food arrived, the server gave me a weird look and apologetically said "Uhh...the bread is kind of crumbly. It doesn't grill very well...So...I hope it's okay." I smiled and said thank you, but he was right. It was dry and crumbly and I had to remove the top portion because it was pretty much all bread. Maybe it would have been easier to swallow if it hadn't been grilled in the panini press? Either way, I've had muuuuuch better GF bread. I wish he would have just told me when I ordered that it wasn't going to turn out well instead of waiting till it was in front of me. Sad. The interior of the sandwich was delicious. I loved the veggies and hummus (grilled eggplant, sun dried tomato, artichoke, spinach), just wished there was twice as much. Also bummed it didn't come with a side salad, but boyfriend's sandwich did? Weird. Sweet potato fries with the house made ketchup was a big hit with both of us. The desserts/baked goods looked amazing and the daily smoothies seemed promising. 3 stars but definitely willing to go back and try again, sans GF bread.

I just found out about The Rabbit Hole and have been there three times with my family. The atmosphere is quaint and decorated like an antique store & the food has been excellent and the staff very friendly. On my first visit I ordered a Tuna Melt and was surprised how big it was. Everything has been great and I can't wait to go back. Bob R Agoura Hills

My kids who have allergies to dairy and egg were so excited to try the Rabbit Hole with hopes of having foods like Mac n' cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches like their non allergic brother does. Well, they do make vegan versions of those classics but they cross contaminate the allergens when cooking it making them inedible for my girls. We definitely informed them of our girls' allergies but they obviously weren't honest or attentive enough when they said they would cook it separately or in a clean pan but did not. After just a couple bites, my daughters tongue was tingly/itchy and she couldn't have more. The most disappointing thing was when we complained to them of the cross contamination they were unapologetic and unsympathetic. I guess this place is great for vegans by choice to eat at. But if you make vegan choices out of necessity than this isn't the place for you. We hate having allergies in the family and are always hoping to find nice, accommodating restaurants. You would think a Vegan cafe would be just that but we find that chain restaurants are far more careful and allergy friendly. Even though the Mac n cheese was very good and the baked goods decent (yet pricey) we still won't be back. Service is everything.

Friendliest staff ever! This place has really good food. It's not too expensive for such a healthy place. The atmosphere is cool here. I've tried many different dishes and never been disappointed.

Great ambiance--I adored the vintage-esque Alice In Wonderland theme and all the antiques sitting around in the next room for customers to coo over. I believe we ordered the Chicken Curry Panini and Kale Salad. I love cooking at home and eating at fantastic vegan eateries in LA, so I suppose I was expecting mind-blowing things from this little 'Hole' in the wall. Sadly, the portions were not on par with the price we paid, and the sandwich and salad were mediocre at best. Lacking in flavor and texture, I couldn't nudge off the incessantly nagging thought that screamed, ''You Could Have Made This At Home For Half The Cost And Twice The Flavor!'' I'm going to admit, though, that I commend The Rabbit Hole Café for its vision, passion, and unique décor, especially when eateries like this are frustratingly impossible to come by in the Moorpark/Simi/Thousand Oaks area. I'll be back to give you another try, Rabbit Hole.

This place is amazing. Being vegan, it's hard to find food in the area that I can actually eat, besides the typical salad. The Rabbit Hole's vegan King mac is delicious. It's topped with mushrooms, which I usually despise fungii with a passion, but somehow they make it delicious. Their red pepper hot soup is amazing with their Daiya grilled cheese sammich (on gluten free bread, of course.) Their mango tea is delicious as well. It's a small place, but the decor is cute, and on cold days it's nice to sit next to the mini-fire place they have inside.

Food is amazing and the people working here are the best!! I had the grilled cheese and tomato. Cheese is perfectly paired with the tomato and toast. Came back again as I was about to leave for vacation and craving some hometown goodness before my trip. Had the grilled cheese and tomato again, as it's one of the best things I've ever eaten. This time paired it with a cold tomato soup. The soup was the consistency of well diced salsa, but that only added to it's goodness. The flavor was out of this world. A bit peppery, definitely tomato-y (as I would hope of a tomato soup), and 100% delicious. As always, the staff was wonderful! So accommodating and friendly. Can't wait to go back again and try something new.

They owe Lewis Carroll's estate some fat royalties for all the Alice stuff. But then I'm about to cash in on Alice in my review so... sue me! The Kale Salad with Chicken Curry Salad on top is so good you'll think it's your unbirthday. Eat it, Tweedle Dee. The smoothies are a little pricey but so full of goodness, they're worth the wait. Even if you're LATE! You're late! For a very important date! Finally, even a Jabberwocky would love the stuffed portobello. It's a hearty and healthy meal even for a walrus like me. Westlake needs this place. Now if only they could pull some extra parking out of their rabbit hole.

This place is a gem. We take our kids often. The kale salad is warm and more like a stir fry. YUM. The curry chicken salad is fantastic on it or as a sandwich. The eggs and potatoes are great too. Their lattes are yummy and beautiful. I love supporting a local family run place. I hope they expand one day.

I went to the Rabbit Hole for the first time today. Delicious. I ordered the curry chicken sandwich and an oatmeal chai whoopie pie. Both were amazing. I think this little cafe is super cute. The one star is missing because its just so small, so I would try to go at an off time. I cant wait to go back though and try the vegan, GF pizza.

Cute cafe in a non-descript strip center. The Tropic of Kale smoothie was outstanding, the mixed porridge was very good and original, the coffee was good, and the eggs with spinach were a little disappointing. If not for the eggs, would have given 5 stars. Would love to try their lunch menu. The environment and staff are very casual. On the negative side, one of the employees came in the restaurant on the phone and proceeded to have a very loud conversation while sitting at a table adjacent to us.

This place is adorable! They make one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I have ever had and the quinoa is amazing! So happy to have this little gem nearby! Things are a little disorganized as far as ordering and take-out but I know with time this will improve!

Delicious creative vegetarian/vegan menu in a comfortable eclectic atmosphere. A little challenging to locate with sparse parking but worth going. My favorite is the warm kale salad. They also sell good organic fair trade coffee beans.

We chose this place mainly because it looked cute and Yelp's opinion of it was favorable- I'm glad we did. The atmosphere is similar to some of our favorites back in NY- Grey Dog Cafe, Westville- kind of the 'run by hippies' feeling with mismatched cutlery and water in Ball jars, etc. It's very casual, and you order at the counter. I love it, but I realize that it isn't for everyone. Most of the complaints I read on yelp were about the portion sizes, which I think is pretty ridiculous. While I wouldn't call the proportions big, they were definitely appropriately sized. I didn't even think that they were outrageously priced- though I am used to NYC pricing, so take that with a grain of salt. My gluten-free husband ordered the Raw Sesame Kelp Noodle Salad, I had the Turkey and Brie sandwich (warmed, at the suggestion of the lady who took my order- a very good suggestion!) and we split the Sweet Potato fries with a side of Chipotle Mayo. The Raw Sesame Kelp Noodle Salad we thought was good, though felt like it was missing something to my very carnivorous husband. I think it would be enough for a vegetarian, probably enough if we had gone for lunch instead of dinner. It tasted great and there is something tactilely enthralling about those rubbery little noodles. My sandwich was very good, and I was really glad that the lady suggested I get it warmed! It didn't feel as heavy as a turkey and brie sandwich normally does. I would definitely order it again. The sweet potato fries were, as sweet potato fries almost always are, very good. They came to the table very hot- so hot that I had to drop one! This is a good thing. The chipotle mayo, while good, wasn't really worth the extra fifty cents, sad to say. Other than that, I had a red chai latte with almond milk. This was the only disappointing part of the meal. It was very weak and flavorless. We ended with a chocolate whoopie pie, which was gluten free and vegan, and it might actually be the best whoopie pie I've ever had. My husband looked at me with big, questioning eyes and said "Best gluten free dessert...ever?" So there's that. Ultimately, we will be returning. It's too enticing for someone who is limited by a gluten allergy- they have a very nice variety of dishes. It didn't knock my socks off, but we already were planning the next visit while we were finishing off our whoopie pie, which is a pretty good sign.

Cute little coffee shop with small, tasty dishes. The food I had tasted great, I am not saying that it isn't, but unfortunately I have a favorite "vegan/vegetarian" place where I used to live and I compare all new places to it and they just never match up! I would definitely go back but I will make sure to go in before or after the typical lunch time because this place is so small!

Very cute and creative decor...but the food just wasn't fresh as I would expect and the price was high for what it was. The silverware and the glasses didn't add to the dining ..I would have rather had dispoable. you place you order at a the counter get your own water, silverware and salt/pepper. And they serve one person at a time. Also, the bathroom wasn't working. It is a nice place to see, get a cup of tea and maybe hang out.

I have never really been a seeker of " HEALTHY " options.... Def consider myself a Foodie! The Rabbit Hole Cafe offers both delicious and healthy cuisine. The corn chowder is outstanding, the raw tomato soup is fantastic! I had my first taste of kale here... Their grilled kale salad is sooooo tasty and good for me!... Who would have thought it!.. Top it off with a moist, chocolate, zucchini, gluten free muffin! Yumm!!!

I really love the concept of this place, but it definitely needs to work on a couple things to earn my loyalty. I have had decent experiences here in the past, but after today I felt it necessary to provide feedback in hopes that the management uses these reviews to better the establishment. For one, I called once to place a to go order, and the phone was busy. I called back and was put on hold for close to 15 minutes. I ended up hanging up my phone at work and tried calling back on my cell while my friends and I were en route. It was busy the whole time. So we waited in line to place our order. The cashier seemed flustered and confused for all of our orders. We then waited about 20 minutes for 3 to go lunch orders. When we got back to work we realized that one order that was supposed to be a veggie wrap (add tofu, add onions) was split between 2 wraps. One with just the veggies, and one with just the tofu and onions. My order was the King Mac, and I have to say it was one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had :( It was bland and boring, the sauce was watery, and there were maybe 3 mushrooms and a sprinkle of kale on top. This is not what I was envisioning from the description on the menu at all. The other issue I had was the price and portion size. It came out to almost $10 and either they accidentally gave me the half portion, or I am terrified to see what the half portion size really looks like. Even my coworker referred to it as "dinky". Honestly, I have had better frozen meals from Trader Joes that were 3 bucks. Really disappointing experience this time. I would love to see this place stay and thrive but after today I really can't get myself to go back any time soon unfortunately.

I'm a huge fan. The tuna melt and sweet potato fries were delish. If I hadn't already ordered, I would have switched to the kelp salad bc it looked amazing. My boss said the curry chicken on kale salad was yummy. Ok, it's Friday and I can't wait to go back on Monday, but this time I'm bringing other work friends and family.

It's an adorable, cozy set up with friendly staff. It's basically your run-of-the-mill vegan hipster cafe, but they give you options. Like when I got their pizza, they offered that I could have any cheese I wanted instead of the exotic vegan cheese they had, and I didn't even ask. It was delicious. Their lemonade is fantastic, homemade naturally, and I was surprised by a free refill! It's the new meet-up spot for my friends and I. Love it!

This place reminds me of the cute little sandwich shops you'd find in college. I got the Turkey Brie, and I probably hadn't had this good of a sandwich since college. Also tried a Strawberry-Banana Smoothie. All in all, everything was super fresh and absolutely delicious, if a bit on the expensive side, given the portion size. Otherwise, very satisfied and will probably come back for more.

Yay....food allergy friendly!!!! I had the gluten and dairy free grilled cheese sandwich which was fantastic, fresh brewed mango black tea over ice, and a fluffy gluten and dairy free chocolate whoopie pie for dessert. Hands down the best gluten free sandwich bread I have ever had. The service was great, the price is right, and the best thing is that it is close to home! No more trips over the hill for gluten and dairy free options! Don't let the strip mall location fool you, The Rabbit Hole is a cozy spot to sit and relax while having delicious freshly prepared food!

This place is awesome. Vegan options (Agoura Hills needs more vegan options!) and really well priced! Super comfortable atmosphere. I had the vegetable panini, corn chowder & the sweet potato fries. (The banana jalapeno dipping sauce is AMAZE.) There are a bunch of things on their menu that I will need to try so I will be here again. And again. Soon.

It's just so good! The prices are very reasonable, and the food is super tasty. I recently tried their 'Tropic of Kale' smoothie--oh my goodness, so glad the woman at the register recommended it. Creamy yet fruity, and so satisfying. The first time I was there I got their vegan mac n' cheese and one of the sandwiches, and both were extremely tasty. The portions aren't huge by any means, but it's probably better for us that way!

Compared to other vegetarian and vegan restaurants, portion size and flavor can improve. Vegan panini was presented on a plate, small sandwich, small amount of filling, no carrot chips, salad is extra. Frozen French toast smoothie for 5.50 was small for the price, too. Would I return? Not too soon,

Love this place! So nice to have a good veggie place close by! Atmosphere is fantastic. Super cute and relaxing. Outdoor seating! Hello!! :) I'm vegan and gluten free, so, kinda hard to feed. First time today. Negatives - location is horrible (parking is impossible, tough to see from road) - Hours seem very weird (off Sunday, short hours on Friday/Saturday) - Busy signal when calling for order (got through on third attempt, not everyone will try so hard) - Music was loud. I wasn't eating in but dialing it down a notch would help. Positives - Food. Had Tuna Melt which was very good, side salad was almost all mixed greens but was plentiful. - Price. Got what I paid for and at a reasonable price. - Ambiance. Small but nice with busy open kitchen. Overall Will go again. Need to try coffee and a different lunch offering. Happy to see them in the neighborhood.

Was referred to the Rabbit Hole by a friend and have been a repeat customer ever since. The food is amazing, healthy, and reasonably priced. They have Wifi, comfortable chairs, and just a very warm place to hang out and have a great meal. Ask for the Red Chai... is awesome!!

Good food, but not enough of it. A sandwich on a plate with no carrots or chips, or small salad at a fairly expensive price is not what I had in mind for a lunch. Oh, you can get extras, but they charge you for everything. I left still hungry.

Yum! I love The Rabbit Hole! The portions are perfect sized and delicious! The Queen of Hearts salad is one of my favorites, the beet, quinoa, garbanzo bean mixture is to die for. The ambiance is adorable, the Alice and Wonderland theme isn't too overt, it's very grandmothers house-esque. Last time I went, a friend and I tried the shaved ice, and with the very adult flavors, we were in heaven! Delicious food, very sweet helpful staff, and always a great experience!

This was my first time here and I was absolutely blown away. The food was amazing, the prices were fair, and the service was off the charts good. Seriously, customer service is the secret sauce of a business and the nailed it here. Can't wait to go back!

We just made our first trip down The Rabbit Hole - what a wonderful discovery! From the charming Alice in Wonderland decor to the friendly service to the fresh, delicious food - this place is a must visit! Locals will love the laid back atmosphere and homemade offerings. We loved the egg and potato wrap so much we had to order a second one! The watermelon smoothie is also incredible and like something you've never tasted before. Can't recommend this place enough!

I've been here twice and it have impressed me both times. The first time I had the curried chicken sandwich and kale salad and it was great. This last time I came with my family and had the sweet potato fries (with amazing dipping sauces, try the jalapeño banana, what!?!) and I had the turkey with Brie, yum, and my husband had the best tuna melt he as had in years! My son had a French toast smoothie and I wanted to try all of them and see if I could slip some kale into his smoothie.he loved it! I can't wait to go try more stuff. Love it.

Love the Rabbit Hole. My husband has completely switched his morning routine to come by on the way to work for amazing french press coffee TO GO! Really - they've got these funny to go french press cups with a little plunger, all completely biodegradable materials too. Pretty cool. I go for the smoothies - they have a great way of sneaking kale and spinach and other green stuff in without you noticing it. And if you order a muffin they'll offer to grill it for you with earth balance, yum. They are still tweaking some of the menu items - I've been super impressed by most and somewhat underwhelmed by others. But they love to hear the feedback and then they switch it up to make it better. They're always adding new stuff too. It's a little casual cafe, order at the counter and they'll bring it to your table. Some board games for the kids, serve yourself iced tea. The decor is fabulous, seating is comfortable but not large. Some outdoor tables so I can walk over with my puppies. A new favorite for me.

Love this place! I wasn't expecting such a cool, laid back, cozy cafe in that strip mall. So happy I found it. The food was delicious, portions were big and the prices were great. My daughters ordered the grilled cheese on organic ciabatta bread. They loved it. I ordered a salad with quinoa, beets and chic peas...YUM...and a tuna melt that had chipotle mayo which knocked my socks off! My hubby had the turkey and brie sandwich and he loved it so much, he nearly ordered another. The owner was so nice and wanted to be sure we loved everything...and we did. Looking forward to going back for more good eats. OH, one more thing, not only are there organic options on the menu, much of the ingredients are from local vendors/farmers and that makes me a happy girl. So, if you like fresh, healthy and creative foods, then this is a place you must try! Enjoy!

So excited that there's another place in the area with gluten-free options! Had the turkey and brie sandwich with millet bread the other day. It was delicious! Had wanted the ciabatta bread but they were out so ended up with millet bread which turned out great. The bread was grilled (or toasted) and the brie was just a little bit melty. Yum! Will be back to try the g-f pizza and more!

We were in town for a basketball tournament, so thought we would yelp some local favorites. Came across this place with 4 1/2 stars so thought I would read about it. As soon as I saw they had Gluten free choices, we didn't need to look any further. I don't think I would have gone on name alone. Rabbit Hole doesn't scream out yummy food to me! However, it was soooooo good! I ordered the turkey & Brie sandwich on Gluten free bread. I can honestly say I have not had a sandwich worth eating since having to go Gluten free a couple of years ago, because most G.F. breads taste horrible. Not this one! The sandwich came on an herbed focaccia bread that was incredible. I still can't believe it was G.F. The turkey was real turkey breast from an actual Turkey with nice thick slices, a nice thick slice of Brie, baby spinach leaves, tomato and thin crisp slices of cucumber with what I think was a basil-pesto mayo! I'm telling you it was to die for! Then to top it off were the sweet potato fries. My daughter who doesn't normally like them, could not stop eating these. She also had the grilled cheese but with no tomatoes and loved it. My husband had the Tuna melt and said it was really good. The only downfall to the place is the seating. We ended up outside at a metal table with the sun directly on us. It is very small with not a lot of seating but I still give it 5 stars because the food and staff are worth 5 stars. I highly recommend you try this little hole in the wall (Rabbit Hole) out!

So far we have only tried the coffee, smoothies, muffins and an egg wrap. Everything has been delicious! In fact, the smoothies are amazing. It is a cozy little cafe that is welcoming to children. There are even games for children to play while you relax with your coffee. We will soon be trying the lunch items and then I can expand my review past breakfast.

This is a mixed review. The place tries hard. It looks quirky and fun. Locals seem to hang out. Service was good. The problem is the food was hit and miss, both in taste and portions/cost. If I was to return, the goal would be to find out what they do well. Because in the end, I think I ordered the wrong things. Stroganoff. The idea of a vegan stroganoff was appealing. But the execution left me wanting to try to make my own. Portion was very small, as someone else said, more like a side dish. And the nutty grain just seemed to not work as well. Not bad. Shepards Pie. Same thing... VEGAN Shepards Pie? Shut the front door, I must try this. And it was very small like the stroganoff. And really not very tasty to me. I finished it, because we were all starving. Mac-N-Cheese. Ordered this for the boy and he disliked it, but that is him. Anything not Kraft and bright orange gets marked down. I ended up eating half of it because after our Stroganoff and Shepards Pie, we were hungry. It was actually pretty good. If one could add some spiciness to it, it would be very good. Grilled Cheese. For the girl. She liked it. I ended up eating part of this (did I mention I was hungry?). And it was good. Good bread. Maybe the best thing we ordered. At this point, we have spent over $50 including four drinks and 3 out of the 4 of us were still hungry. So we ordered the veggie burger and an order of sweet potato fries. The fries were very good. We finished them off. Nice dipping sauces. The burger was meh... not bad. I ate half of it anyway. So there is some positives about the place. And as I said, if one has the right expectations and orders the right things, it would be 4 stars. 3 stars though because to feed 2 adults and 2 small children, we spent almost $70, and it is not just the total bill, I felt the value was not there.

This is just what our town need: a modest restaurant, made with local and high quality ingredients. This little restaurant is very cozy, but with lots of room. They are more than happy to let you dine with your dog at the outdoor tables, and they provide water for them. The sandwiches, and soups are well made and delicious. It is obvious that they care about the food. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. The main con about this dining experience is the parking. My first time here resulted in a minor collision. It is better to park further away from this little gem.

Very cozy little vegan cafe. I loved the funky decorations and little gift shop. The food was tasty and pretty healthy. I like how they tell you which ingredients are organic right on the menu. I got the veggie panini with avocado which was pretty good. It had interesting flavor and the bread was crispy and delicious. The chai latte was also pretty good, I had to add a little honey to make it sweeter though. My boyfriend got the shepherds pie which I wasn't crazy about (too bland and no corn) but he seemed to like it. Will definitely be back to try some more of the menu items.

Living in Agoura Hills, I tend to flock to the small, humble restaurant where typical food is not found. Indeed The Rabbit Hole Cafe is one of these foodie jewels, where they hail all vegans, vegetarians, and even meat-eaters like me. I've gotten their pizza three times already simply because it is so good. The pizza is actually made with vegan cheese and a rice flour dough and you can put any fresh toppings you want on it. You'd think that it would be dry and flavorless, but this small circle of heaven is the opposite, with its dense, but crunchy crust and delightful cheese. I have also gotten their raw kelp noodle salad with a small side order of thick-cut sweet potato fries with chipotle and pesto mayo. I'm really not a salad person, but this salad is changing all of that. It is a basic baby spinach leaves salad with raw kelp noodles, sesame seeds, and sesame seed oil dressing drizzled all over it. It's incredibly light and refreshing and honestly a nice break from everything I usually eat. Sometimes they put too much oil on it, but luckily I like the oil :) The Rabbit Hole's fries get a perfect score from me, especially with their pesto and chipotle mayo. One critique though would be to make the chipotle mayo spicier. Bring the heat! Their desserts are also something to try there. I've had their various chocolates, which are surprisingly good (not a fan of dark chocolate). Their whoopie pies are the ones to get though! Definitely try the Oatmeal one with the chai flavoring in the middle. So basically what I am saying is go to The Rabbit Hole! It is such a great place for anyone that just wants to have a good time, especially with the food, drinks, music, family, and atmosphere!

Chose this place strictly from positive Yelp reviews. The place is really funky and eclectic. They did well decorating it with Alice in Wonderland art. And the furniture is diverse with some couches, tables different shapes and sizes, etc. It's two rooms -- one with the counter and kitchen and a side dining room. I gave this three stars because we liked the food and ambiance. The reason we'll never return -- portions were super small and prices were super big. They didn't match. The small portions of food were delicious. We saw the Yelp reviews complaining about prices and thought they were odd. But then we ordered and saw what our bill was and the tiny food portions. We ordered two sandwiches, a half order of sweet potato fries and two "large" drinks. Our bill was $24. That's a good amount but the sandwiches were the size of sandwiches you pack in a child's lunch (each ran $7). There were a small amount of fries. Our "large" drinks were only pint glasses. They were each $3 without free refills. The lemonade was homemade but needed sweetener. We left hungry and had to find more food. But we liked the little cafe and our sandwiches and fries were delicious even though they were smaller than they should have been. We'd prefer that they lower their prices or raise their portion sizes oh so slightly. We don't expect huge meals but these were a joke. We don't mind spending money but c'mon, we want to leave at least full. Fun place but I know others to get lesser food at a more reasonable price that will fill me up. (Also, Yelp guidelines say $$ is for $11+ per person which is what it costs for an item and beverage with tax. So the $ -- one dollar denomination -- is inaccurate.)

Let me start off with a disclaimer: I am not vegan nor vegetarian, and I don't plan on ever becoming one. God placed meat on this earth for a reason. And when my co-worker took me to the Rabbit Hole, I wasn't looking so forward to it... To this day, it's my new favorite lunch stop. Tomato grilled cheese with a half order of sweet potato fries. Make sure to get the pesto mayo with it, probably the best dipping sauce. A half order is actually a good serving. Definitely recommend the Tweedle to drink (Arnold Palmer, both taste in-house made). Ironically on Mondays this meal is only $8 or $9. I guess they've noticed my Monday habit. Great service, great atmosphere. Do it.

Wow ... stole this suggestion from another yelper and had it bookmarked for a long time. I should not have waited so long. Even if your not a vegetarian I think you will like it... The Veg. BLT was amazing, and ca't wait to have another. The sweet potato fries are 5* and nice and crunchy and dips, not just ketsup :P I also tried the veggie panini.

Don't let the strip mall exterior faze you. This is a welcoming, homey space with a great selection of organic vegetarian and vegan offerings, from sandwiches to soups to entrees and baked goods. They even make their own ketchups in various flavors...and the Sweet Potato Fries were amazing, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and not greasy at all. After my hefty meal, I didn't have room for shaved ice for dessert, but the flavors sounded good, especially Ginger & Lots More Ginger. Headed there for breakfast tomorrow!

We are so excited to have found this place! Another Yelp find that we will definitely be back to explore more! We had the Chickpea Mushroom Stroganoff, the BLT, and the King Mac. All divinely delicious!! We got the Karma cupcake and Oatmeal Chai to go and can't wait to try them! We may even be back tomorrow!!

LOVE this place! I always try to stop by The Rabbit Hole when I'm in the valley. The food is awesome, the staff is helpful & friendly, and the decor is cool & interesting. Where else can you get a gluten-free, non-dairy, tuna melt that tastes amazing? Awesome vegan shakes & desserts too.. wish this was in my hood!

Absolutely love The Rabbit Hole! Awesome healthy cafe that is committed to using as many organic and locally sourced ingredients as possible. Everything I have tried has been great but I especially love the banana and date smoothie! I also LOVE that they offer a natural (and non-GMO) stevia as a coffee sweetener - amazing!!! Love love love The Rabbit Hole!

Recent lunch here reminded how great the food is. Rabitt hole bowl was delicious. Brussels were also excellent. The portions are fairly small hence 4 stars. Unique and very tasty food.

Randomly stumbled onto this place after getting lost within the area. Nice little place to relax, read a book and enjoy the day. The decor is nice here and it looks like something that you would find out of Alice and Wonderland and they do a good job of making it look very homey. Decided to order sweet potato fries along with a tofu curry sandwich, as it was something I've never seen before. The previous reviews were spot on, the fries are something that you HAVE to try if you come out here, although they are pretty pricey (3.50 for small). The sandwich came out quickly and I was disappointed at how small the thing was... DIdn't fill me up at all. Also, tofu and curry do not go good in a sandwich as everything just falls apart when you take your first bite. Overall, didn't enjoy the sandwich much and would be happy to come back and try something different the next time I'm out here.

The portion sizes are a joke - if you're hungry go elsewhere. Its insulting how much they charge for what you get. I ordered the shepherds pie and it was more of a small side dish. (see photo next to $5 bill in photos) My girlfriend ordered turkey on her salad and they forgot it (we got it to go and noticed when we got home). $5 gone - they were closed when we tried to get it back The queen of hearts salad - $8 - had 4 garbanzo beans and a small scoop of qinuoa on a small handful of lettuce. We counted the beans because by this point we were astonished and laughing at what we saw when we opened the boxes. She's a small eater (115 lbs) and was still hungry after eating it. I'm training for a triathon and really wanted to like this place and support local business, but while the food is decent, it's a complete ripoff. They should call it 'the side dish hole'. Just finished the meal and now we're talking about what to get for lunch. Bummer

This is a fantastic hole in the wall with great ingredients and great food! Try their tropic of kale smoothie, I get it every time! Agoura needs more restaurants like the Rabbit Hole

I really like this place. It is obvious everything here are earthy and organic. But comparing to the rest vegetarian places, I love how nature the food taste here. The restaurant doesn't use any strong spice or sauce to overpower the food itself. So you are able to taste the nature flavor of the mushroom, the potatoes, the vegetables, etc. Highly recommended for anyone wants a healthy alternative lunch/dinner. Be aware the place is a bit small and you might need to share a table with other people. The portions also vary depending on the food you order, so you might want to ask them in advance about the size. :)

Went down the Rabbit Hole today I've had this place bookmarked on my YELP! mobile app for a long time. When I finally made plans to have lunch there, I studied their online menu and picked out my selection. It was hard, as they had some very appealing dishes. Walking into the Rabbit Hole Cafe was kind of a trip. It's kind of a funky, eclectic place that slightly reminds me of a mix between a mellow coffee shop and a new age/psychic store. My only complaint is the incense smell. It's a strong, heavy scent that kind of dilutes my senses. If I can't smell my food, it is a partial experience for me. The drill here is to order at the register and to take your order number to your table (a la Natural Cafe style). I sat at the table next to the utensils section which is right by the register. By 12:45 the line was almost out the door. If you don't want the lunch rush listening to your conversation with your best friend, I highly suggest to sit outside or in the other room. I got the half order of the Raw Sesame Kelp Noodle Salad ($4.50), a cup of the Soup of the Day which was Red Lentil and Sweet Potato Curry ($3.50) and a bottle of Watermelon Cream AGAVE soda. The Raw Sesame Kelp Noodle Salad was yummy. It's a plain salad, just Raw Kelp Noodles chillin on a bed of spinach. Watch out for the Garlic chunks. For some reason, I thought it was a nut and I bit into one. Man, did I regret that. I would probably recommend getting this one to go, as it involves the garlic chunks and it is pretty messy to eat. The Red Lentil and Sweet Potato Curry soup is HIGHLY recommended. SOO good. Served with some modest sized croutons on the side, this soup has texture, flavor, and hearty consistency. If I had the Noodle salad on it's own I might have splurged and bought one of their Gluten Free Cookies or a French Toast Smoothie (Yes, you heard that right. FRENCH TOAST smoothie!) as it may have not been enough food. But this soup definitely helped and I was pleasantly full. The soda also helped curb my sweet tooth cravings and had a light, watermelon cream flavor. I look forward to coming back and trying more items from the Rabbit Hole Cafe. I gave it 3 stars as I need more items to try from and that incense smell didn't help me at all. They really need to get rid of that so people can enjoy their meals!

It's nice having a healthy place in town. The tofu scramble is amazing, and the sweet potato fries are perfect. The prices are a little high, but I would return time and time again.

The menu offers a lot of vegan options. The scramble bowl was amazing, definitely opt for the seasoned potatoes. It's appreciated that they opened in Agoura, where it may not be known for a big population but we are definitely here and need places like this.

The Rabbit Hole is a diamond in the rough so to speak. Agoura Hills is not really known for good eats. So when my wife and I tried out TRH, we were VERY pleasantly surprised at how good everything tasted, and marveled at how many organic vegan items they offered. Many items were Gluten-Free also! The stroganoff was excellent, the whoopi pie amazing, and they even have sweet potato french fries (a personal fave of mine). Keep up the good work guys. Great atmosphere, too! :)

Quaint little adorable place! I love the cozy interior! It seems to be Alice in Wonderland themed. I've only been once and had a great experience. I had the following: Vegan Shepherds Pie-Delicious and flavorful. Although, the portion was on the small side for the price. It came with a large mixed green salad which was much larger than the Pie itself. Pumpkin Spice Tea with almond milk-It was very tasty...however it came out COLD! Our waitress was very accommodating and reheated it right away and apologized as well. I also tried a sip of my friends coffee with coconut creamer. HOLY YUM! I'm not sure if it was the coconut creamer or the quality of their coffee but it was the best coffee I've had in a VERY long time. I'll be getting it next time. Overall: Delicious food for vegans or vegetarians but it's on the pricey side. For the two items I purchased...the bill was close to $17. I'll definitely be back to try more items from their menu because the food is yummy!

Tasty vegan items and smoothies packed full of nutrients. I took my non-vegan friends and they could not believe how delicious and healthy everything is. I will be sure to get off the highway and eat here every time I pass through.

So I'm really more of a meatatarian. My coworker is a vegetarian so we all went to this place recently and had lunch. I was really surprised at how good it was. I had the Curry chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries and chipotle mayo dip. It was really great. Even if you're not a vegetarian, you'll enjoy the food. There isn't a lot of seating, but if it's sunny outside, grab one of the tables in the front.

Love this little cafe! They've got wonderful menu and nearly everything had the option to be vegan and/or gluten free. Even a few traditionally soy based vegan items (such as their spread) are soy free! The cookies and cream smoothie, and tuna melt are delicious. And for anyone whose been on the hunt for a gluten free bread that doesn't have the consistency of cardboard- theirs is really quite tasty. Also- for their lattes and teas they've got a great selection selection of milks like almond and coconut instead of just the soy options one can get at most coffee places. Only downside is that it can get a bit pricey (but for better quality ingredients you've gotta be willing to pay for it)

Great food, lots of vegan and gluten free options. Fun environment, live music on occasion. Love it there, only suggestion get onuons, they have no onions, kind of odd for a veggie place. The gluten free bread is amazing

Get in the Prius or the old Subaru station wagon, we're going out to eat... It's like someone took an eclectic, tiedyed, vegan, hippie, Birkenstock wearing, cool, healthy roadside restaurant kinda place from Topanga or perhaps Telluride and dropped it in a tired, old mini strip center in suburbia - Agoura, no less. Talk about unexpected... This place ought to be miles from no where on a wind-ey back road tucked among the tall evergreens, next to a little creek. Like where else in the Conejo Valley can you find such serious vegan fare? I couldn't help but think of the more corporate Hugo's in the Whizin's center a few miles away, but The Rabbit Hole is the real deal, mom and pop, and so much better. With a great selection of teas, coffees, and an interesting selection of all-day organic fare even non-vegan and marginally-healthy-eating semi-conservatives like me can find a fascinating dish. Today, for me, it was the King Mac n Cheese, quinoa pasta in a tasty cheese sauce topped by sautéed mushrooms and toasted kale. Hey, if it's all this good I could enjoy this vegan thing, maybe even put my hair up in dreads, if that were possible. M had the melty grilled cheese and tomato sandwich, truly standard fare, but perfect paired with a home made tomato soup. Seating inside is tight., but on the sidewalk outside there are five small tables, a few with umbrellas. Perfect for me and M. Silverware is a hoot - a flea market assortment in a tabletop basket. Super nice staffers with requisite tattoos, gauges and flannel are soo nice and reasonably efficient. Parking can be a pain in the tight, private lot. All in all The Rabbit Hole Cafe is a unique, real find in Agoura. I wonder if the adjacent hard core Mercedes and BMW community will find this place appealing for the long run. TRHC offers a culinary choice for the community, so I hope so!

Ordered the Jack Mac today. The pasta was undercooked (crunchy) and the sauce runny and lacked flavor. Was hoping for more on my first visit to the Rabbit Hole. My friend had the Queen of Hearts salad which she found to be dry and needing something creamy added (like avocado). She asked for a side of dressing which helped.

I love The Rabbit Hole Cafe! I found them through Conejo Deals, and I couldn't be happier with the food, the service and the overall relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. My favorite is the grilled kale salad with the peanut dressing. They always greet you with a warm friendly smile, and the food is consistenly delicious. Do yourself a favor, make your way over to The Rabbit Hole Cafe. You won't regret it!

I love the food but have two gripes: Sunday brunch's set menu is always terrible and the chef was smoking by their dumpsters while we were eating so it kept wafting over to us.

  • Leighton L.

The food is good and healthy options. The fried kale was really greasy and over salted. Otherwise everything else taste good. The employees are nice but they have forgotten things in my order twice. I ask for takeout box, they say yes and then never come back. They get a little bit of an attitude when they are busy and don't have much patience when you're asking questions when ordering. This place needs to hire better people to take the orders and have been in the food industry for some time.

Amazing little cafe. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Menu versatile with a focus on healthy food. The food tastes great and ingredients are fresh. When you eat here you can't help but feel that whatever you select on the menu, it will simply taste great. This is one of those places where I simply want to keep coming back and try different things. Staff is very friendly, and food is well presented.

Not many people understand 'Alice In Wonderland', and not many should. Similar to our heroin, we were on a high unplanned and misguided. We aimed to fulfill our yelp inspired curiosity for a bakery that offered such a colorful variety of desserts and of course our traditional Espresso drinks, and were off to follow our directions, as Inspired by google maps. we gazed around us, strangers in a familiar land, she was looking westward, myself To The East (admiring the foothills)...and then I spied with my blind eye The Rabbit Hole. Though our search on yelp for some essential E didn't initially provide this place as a result, I thought of the hills, our fondness of nature, and of course the Floppy Eared Beast Of Burden, we chose to explode. We entered from where the music came. Oops, wrong hole. Sorry! The entertainment provided was quite a treat but we had to oblige and order from the leftward entrance. The menu is health conscious and offers vegan and other forms of self conscious disciplines. I was content with unsweetened almond milk for my latte, only to be polluted with splenda. Like the novel, I had to seek for my treat...i stuck my hand in the red drawer until the gratifying result of those wicked sweetness were discovered and relieved. A macchiato as it was meant to be - but lest some think I have come but to praise, please, and provide, I must caveat the emptor: I also requisitioned a pastry, with great regret. The treat itself was pleasant enough but wow was the plate they served it on greasy. I mentioned it to thw cashier and all of the sudden a sobriety of los angeles county overcame the atmosphere, as she seemed not surprised nor genuinely concerned. A venue for very talented children, excellent espresso drinks and a flaw easily forgotten as we watched Alice (im imagining her name as such) walk around serving and cleaning with such a smile and energy, I will refuse to give this place less than 5 stars. I love to try new businesses and travel from city to city but I can see myself heeding The Mysterious Calling of this Rabbit Hole again with much excitement and anticipation.

Came here with my BF who is very skeptical of vegan/conscious eateries. He loved it! He ordered the Tuna Melt and it was EXCELLENT! I was so envious I hadn't ordered it myself. I had the Raw Kelp Noodles which were served over a bed of baby spinach. The cashier recommended to have it chopped with the chickpea salad (mock chicken salad) with lemon. It was SO GOOD! If you're a fan of kelp noodles, I'd give it a try, but just with a squirt of lemon because it was a little on the sour side for me. Overall, two thumbs up!

Being really allergic to lactose and gluten, I love this place! It's such cute atmosphere I love the kitschy tables and couches. Best thing they have is an Oatmeal Chai cookie sandwich so delicious and it takes me days to finish I always get one to go. The people are unique and so friendly, and for me, that makes me want to come back. Everything is a good experience. I have to try some more things on the menu and I might change this review to 5 stars. As I said I have a lot of allergies and it's so refreshing to look at a menu and just pick something with ease without worry about the aftermath. I'll be going back as much as possible.

I love this cafe!! This place is a little hole in the wall, pun intended. My favorite meal so far has been the grilled kale salad, the best kale salad I've ever had. I add two organic eggs to it for some added protein and its delicious! They have other options for added protein too including tofu. Also, they give you the option to order a half or full size salad which is nice and the half is a good portion size. They have some great gluten free treats. I asked which were the best and they said the brownie and oatmeal chai creampie. I tried the oatmeal chai creampie and wow was it AMAZING, the cream filling is definitely very sweet but I have a major sweet tooth so the sweetness didn't bother me at all. I can't wait to try the vegan gluten free brownie! I cant wait to go back and try their coffee/tea beverages especially since they have various non-dairy milk options besides soy. Yes the prices are a little high, that's to be expected with organic healthy cafes, but unlike other cafes they are actually giving you high quality nutritious food that actually has great flavor and isn't plain.

This place was great. I had the veggie panini -it was tasty but my husband has the vegan BLT and it was great. The sweet potato fries were perfect-they were crisp not soggy and the associated dipping sauces were nice. My son had the chicken with Brie. He said it was the best chicken sandwich he had ever had;) the place was efficient and clean.

I had literally been praying for a place like this to open, when it did. I friendly family-run cafe where you can get a great latte and sit and work (thanks to the free wifi) while being able to eat exactly the kind of food I want. Healthy, fresh, with vegan and gluten-free options. The best gluten-free sandwich melts around (particularly addicted to the Violet Schrooben, a variation on the Reuben, and the tuna melt. Great desserts, and even a case with food to go to. Even starting later night hours with live mellow local music. I love you guys!

I absolutely love this cafe. This is my second time here at The Rabbit Hole and it was every bit as enjoyable the second time around. My last visit I enjoyed the vegan burger on gluten free bread and LOVED it. It was probably one of the best vegan burgers I can recall enjoying. Today I'm venturing out into the non-vegetarian world and trying the Soppressata Manchego. It was just what I had hoped. Simple, the perfect size and delicious. I love their black mango iced tea lemonade. It's light and refreshing. My husband and I have set a new mission. We've decided we are going to return until we've tried everything on the menu. The Rabbit Hole Cafe is definitely a new favorite.

Great food. Friendly Service. Very reasonably priced. There are currently only one or two items over $10 on the menu. I had a $5.50 breakfast tofu wrap which was small but good, and an almond milk latte which was delicious. It was a perfect light breakfast. I also took home a glutten free oatmeal cookie sandwich with coconut cream filling which I highly recommend. I'm definitely going to return to this cafe to try some different items.

I have a severe gluten sensitivity/intolerance and it is so nice to have this restaurant around. I have been coming to the rabbit hole since they first opened and they are so accommodating and all of their food is absolutely delicious. It is a little more expensive than what I would like but that's average for gluten free/vegan/allergy sensitive food. Overall, great place! I come here all of the time.

Can I just say how happy this place makes me? How come when I lived in Agoura this place didn't exist? BASTARDS, HOW DARE YOU OPEN UP WHEN I LEAVE TOWN!!! Seriously though, I came here today with my two best girlfriends. We've all been Agoura residents since we were kids and best friends since junior high. A decade after high school, now that we're all departed from Agoura... NOW we finally found the perfect place when we're all in town together visiting family. One of my two best girlfriends is 8 months preggo, the other is vegan and I'm the equal opportunity whatever eater girl. Finding a place at this moment of time where we can all eat and relax and enjoy ourselves is hard. My pregnant BFF's mom actually recommended this place to us and we could all not have been happier. Seriously. Rabbit Hole is like the cutest cafe/bistro to ever hit the Agoura-Westlake area. DON'T GET TOO POPULAR BECAUSE THEN I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO GET A SEAT!!! My preggo girlfriend opted to sit outside because the weather is nice and we loved the little bistro tables outside. It was quiet and relaxing, just what she needed. She also ordered some curry soup and she LOVED it. She's been a picky preggo, so that's great news. My vegan girlfriend actually had options for once. Usually anywhere the three of us go, my vegan friend is stuck with coffee or a salad... NOT HERE! They even had vegan whoopie pies. I didn't try one but she said they were really good (which is saying a lot, because she's a vegan baker.) Also, they get 5++++++++ just for having my favorite brand of half and half for my coffee --- Organic Valley. I even made a comment to the guy in front how happy that made me. Even better? They have coconut creamer for my vegan friend. COULD NOT have been a better place for the three of us. Dammit Rabbit Hole, we would have loved you many years ago! Oh well, we will continue to visit when we're in town once a month or so. Thanks for existing, all three of us love you! :)

The food was great! I was so pleasantly surprised to find such delicious and neat place in my home town (restaurant is kind of an odd location). I had the sweet potato fries and tuna melt and it was everything I could have asked for. The cashier who took our order was super warm and welcoming as well. I will definitely be back to try other things out.

Stepping into the Rabbit hole Cafe gives me that feeling like I was gardening in my backyard and fell down 'The Rabbit Hole' and landed here. The decor is very Alice and Wonderland and the staff is awesome. I love the health food and especial the Vegan options that the Rabbit Hole offers. There are not many places that offer such a healthy menu, especially during a time where more people are looking to eat healthier. I enjoy coming here with my Vegan friends too and they especially love that there is somewhere that they can order items that they feel like were made for them! Everything I have tried here has been delicious. The grilled cheese is my favorite thing here. The bread is melt in your mouth delicious with the right amount of gooey savory cheese. The desserts are amazing too!

I just ate here for the first time after finding this place online. Fast food not only gets boring fast, but it lacks nutrition; I'm always on the lookout for stuff that doesn't lack flavor but is also nutritious. This place fits the bill, perfectly. Not too expensive, and they have options for everyone from meat-eaters to vegans to gluten-frees. The atmosphere is welcoming with a homey theme, including antiques and other trinkets sprinkled throughout the setup. The layout separates the bigger portion of the restaurant from the kitchen/register area, which I think is nice so there is less background noise for most of the patrons. The guy at the register, D, was very welcoming and polite. He offered me samples of their different teas since I had a hard time deciding on one. Very personal service. My meal was scrumptious. I really hope they survive in that location.

We always try to make an excuse to drop by this excellent veggie restaurant -- that offers gluten-free sandwiches! My daughter and I are big fans of the gluten-free chocolate cream cookies. Seating is casual, the wait staff are lovely, and the overall ambience is very welcoming.

These guys got me out of a fix recently and the only bad thing I can think to say is that I'm annoyed I live in Long Beach and cannot visit more regularly. Whilst taking part in a Spartan Race event nearby, I was stuck for something to eat. As someone who eats vegan, as usual, I was left will the choices of going to a supermarket and buying fruit, but stumbled across this place. What a find! I got a pizza and also tried the lentil soup and some of the protein balls. Happy with everything, I said I'd be back to try more stuff, but didn't return ONLY because I couldn't make it back before they closed at 4pm on the Saturday. The earthy, organic feel of the cafe is great. You feel like you shouldn't stand still for very long, lest roots and vines grow over your feet. I don't mean this as an insult at all, I love the vibe, the staff and the of course, the food. If you're within walking or driving distance, check it out. It's a small gem that the Agoura Hills is hiding too well.

This was my first time at the Rabbit Hole and bear in mind I only ordered a beverage. However, for the $3.75 + .50 (almond milk) I paid for a small black chai tea latte, I expected something more than watered-down almond milk with the slightest chai flavoring. On top of that, whoever made it had a very heavy hand with regards to the nutmeg on top, so my first few sips all contained clumps of nutmeg (maybe some people like that?). The food looked tasty and the service was pleasant, but with regards to coffee/tea, next time I'll spend my money where I know it'll be good.

Great food consistently.... Great service consistently.... This place is a hole in the wall but blows my mind. Every time I come here they amaze me with their food. Everyone should get a whoopee pie!

Rabbit Hole Cafe is a cute little eatery just off TO Blvd, near the Lindero Country Club. The decor is homey with fairy-tale themed accents (think Alice in Wonderland and Humpty Dumpty). There's not much seating, but what they do have is pretty comfy. The menu is small but offers a range of options. I opted for their smoothie of the day and a tuna melt. The smoothie was tasty, but I'd probably opt for a coffee drink or their mango black iced tea next time. The tuna melt was delicious - the slices of sourdough were thick and crispy, the tuna salad and cheese were very flavorful. It's a rich and decadent sandwich - can't lose with this one. Staff is very friendly, and the service is quick. Would definitely come back for a quick lunch or breakfast.

I ate here, and I think I ordered the wrong thing. Next time, I'm going to order all vegan stuff because the vegan choices sound more interesting. The salads seem like the way to go. I ordered the tomato grilled cheese with pesto mayo and liked it. Then again, it's pretty hard to mess up grilled cheese. I also got a cup of lentil curry soup, which was good but not great. Considering I ordered a sandwich and soup, I was pretty full afterwards. My table also ordered sweet potato fries to share, which were so-so. Not sure why so many people in these yelp reviews thought they were that good. I actually think they lacked flavor, and the jalapeño banana ketchup was the best part (however, I tasted no jalapeño). My father ordered the turkey and brie sandwich and was disappointed because the meat was not actually cooked there. My mom ordered a stuffed mushroom, which was a special, and she really liked it. The prices are reasonable, but some things are a bit high. For example, a toasted bagel is $3.75, and the kombucha is $5 per bottle. I'm willing to try this place out again and have one of their unique salads.

Delightful place to eat, hang out and chat and enjoy a cuppa joe/tea. I came here 3 out of the 6 days I was in SoCal. Excellent food and great service--kudos to the very friendly staff! I tried a different item for breakfast each day. The first day, I had the tofu scramble which was lovely--flavorful and perfectly spiced. I had a tall cup of black chai with it. Another time, I tried the croissant w/ tofu and kale--savory and deelish! I paired that with red chai. The third day I came by I had porridge--the Rabbit Hole Blend with banana, chia seeds and almonds. It was pretty tasty but next time I'll add some almond or soy milk to make it less dry. I had red chai again. The decor carries through the Alice in Wonderland theme with a quirky, casual elegance--I love that they don't take themselves too seriously. :) As far as I can tell, it's the customers they take seriously. (Rabbit Hole peeps: Keep up the good work! I wanna visit again the next time I'm down from SF!)

I found this place via Yelp & was oh-so-satisfied. Not only that, my (no dietary issues) parents ended up coming to breakfast with us & thought it was great as well. I'm a lactose-intolerant gluten-free vegetarian - so let me break it down for you. There were tons of things I could have. In fact, I held up our entire order because I couldn't narrow it down on my own. They have soy, coconut, and almond milk for your coffee, for pete's sake. Our orders were all delicious & it was so good to feel nourished & non-stressed on the first morning of our vacation.

As a dairy-allergic vegetarian, I've tried a lot of the vegan-friendly spots in the area. So far this is my favorite! I can't believe I didn't try it sooner. I ordered the Chickpea Toona Melt and it was amazing. I haven't had a good melt on "buttery" (they use Earth Balance) grilled sourdough in years and it was so comforting and satisfying. My husband took a bite and claims it tasted like a real tuna melt, but I've never had one myself so I can't comment on that. My husband got the veggie burger and I ended up trying some of that as well. I make veggie burgers from scratch at home a lot so I'm pretty picky about them, and this may be the best restaurant veggie patty I've had so far. We also ordered the strawberry banana smoothie which was yummy, and a side of sweet potato fries. I'm normally not a fan of sweet potato fries, as normally I find them well, too sweet. These were honestly the first sweet potato fries I've had that I actually liked. They were really good dipped in the pesto mayo. I found the sort of garlicky flavor of that balanced out the sweetness of the fries really well. I also really appreciate their ingredient sourcing. The values they maintain in regards to their food seem to be the same I apply to my own grocery shopping, and that's really refreshing. I found the prices and portion sizes very reasonable, especially considering the attention they pay to ingredient quality. Both my husband and I found the food very filling. Overall, we were very satisfied!

Great food! Filling, reasonably priced...if you've ever been curious about vegan food or are a vegan currently, this is the not so guilty pleasure for you

This place initially caught my eye because of the novel concept, cute decor, and promise of healthy, wholesome food with vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. However, when I stopped in for lunch with my mom and aunt, we had a very bad experience. They were out of many entrees, limiting our options greatly. We ultimately settled; me on a kale salad, my mom on a turkey and brie sandwich, and my aunt on a tuna melt. Both their meals left much to be desired- there was hardly any meat on my mother's sandwich, and my aunt's was horribly fishy and tasted not fresh. My salad was one of the worst I've had as of late; the kale was not cut or chopped at all, but in large, limp pieces. The salad itself was warm (although they claimed to grill it, it tasted more like it had been microwaved) and quite difficult to chew. The only other noticeable ingredient in the salad was chopped purple cabbage. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place. Although quaint and staffed by lovely servers and cashiers, the food isn't up to par.

Today has definitely been a five star day. First a great haircut at Cleo Annex (Carmen is THE shit!) followed by lunch at this lovely organic restaurant. This is rare type of place, one that is profoundly healthy with both ingredients and preparation, delicious, reasonably priced, and has a quaint charming ambiance. We were starving and ordered three dishes between the two of us: vegan shepherd pie, vegan burger, and grilled kale salad. Everything was clean, fresh, and spectacular. The burger was outstanding, a black bean, potato, and quinoa patty made in-house. The shepherd pie had a great sweet potato and cauliflower topping. Our kale salad had amazing flavor and texture. Please pay no attention to reviews stating that portions are small and that prices are high. American perception of healthy portions is skewed by the tendency to super-size everything. A serving of meat should be 3 oz. Their patty is at least 6 oz, and it's a much tastier and healthier protein than hormone laden ground beef. If you want gut busting big and dirt cheap, go drive through somewhere. Prices are fair for the quality, everything is organic. If more people committed to eating high quality organic food, prices would eventually decrease. However, with so many crappy cheap food choices and so many people who just don't know any better, this won't likely happen. Too bad. But this place is too good. Go there, eat well, get healthy.

Eat more Kale... I seem to be finding a lot of vegetarian places of late... I am not sure why other than I am looking for healthier options other than Panda or Mickey D's... all I can say is that you need to try it... it is really good!

Yummy! I am so happy that we found this place. It isnt easy finding a place that is quick, tasty and have vegan options. The sweet potato fries are fantastic as well as the grilled kale salad. The vegan panini is a must!

Actually - revising this review - meant for Veggie Grill. The Rabbit Hole had OK service. The food was ok. Don's ask them what is in it or oil, cause they have to ask the chef. My table was ok clean. I did find some interesting organically flavored water, I meant to try again. I wish the service was better, cause there aren't many places where you can get organic food.

Just ate at the rabbit hole. They need waiters and waitresses. Really hard to get ice tea refills and go back and get more food, like a cookie. Otherwise really nice place and great food. Decor is cute. Bad parking!

Best tuna melt I've had in a long time. The bread was grilled to perfection and I think they use real tuna? Definitely a fan of this place. If you're going with a large group, you may want to hold off on going as the place has three tables inside and a few out.

Update: Love their vegan pizza and corn chowder soup! Tried this for the first time today with our office. Their menu is extensive and seems to offer tons of options. They seem to be relatively new and still ironing out a few kinks. I ordered the vegan panini and it was good but the bread was overwhelming and the contents of the sandwhich seemed to be lacking, it was also pretty dry. The salad I got with it was a little bland but the balsamic vinagerette dressing was amazing! My coworkers got the tuna melt and the potato, egg & cheese wrap and loved them both although the egg wrap was pretty small. Overall good but hopefully they'll fix the little issues and then they'll be amazing!

This is a great idea for a restaurant: organic, vegan, healthy food, but they do not know how to cook and prepare healthy food. If you eat whole vegan food that is not fried or grilled, and heavily loaded with fat, this is not the place to go to. Although you can ask request to have certain things not fried/grilled, but not with all the dishes. Very few of the dishes aren't prepared that way, but our experience for the first time was bad and we will not return to try those dishes. We were disappointed when we ate here after reading all the great reviews. This place has potential, but it's healthy food that ends up unhealthy at the end.

I am officially a rabbit hole cafe lover! I went in there because a friend of mine said it was healthier and mentioned some of there smoothies. All the food really blew me away, as well as the quality staff. Amazing sandwiches and soups And smoothies! Can't wait to try everything else they have. Highly recommend this cafe.

I just love the Rabbit Hole. My sister had a gluten intolerance, that can make eating out on the more difficult side. If any of you have tried gluten free breads you will know that they are usually not very good BUT the Rabbit Hole has AMAZING gluten free options. The journey of a gluten free life style can be very difficult, so when you find wonderful tasty options that don't make you sick it is life altering! They have an amazing vegetarian tuna melt, mushroom grilled cheese, and caprese sandwich!

Went in today for the first time - food was delicious! Had GF (gluten free) and Vegan grilled cheese and tomato sandwich, sweet potato fries, and the best ever GF Vegan Oatmeal cookie sandwich. GF bread is fantastic, I wish I could buy it by the loaf. Restaurant is very small inside with cute decor. Definitely will be back!!!

I'm overjoyed that a restaurant serving healthy food with organic, locally-sourced options finally found its way to Agoura Hills. Oftentimes eating out means sacrificing healthy choices, but now it doesn't have to be that way. Another pro about this place: they cater to all types of diets, from vegetarian to gluten-free. I hope this catches on and more places serving real food open up.

Um no! I just read the menu and there's an option to add a side salad when you order a sandwich. Why the hell did I pay $8 for a 1/2 salad? THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF.

Yummy, reasonably priced food that is 50% organic and100% wholesome. Yessssss! Finally, a healthy cafe in TO. I had the raw tomato soup which was refreshing along with the delicious black kale salad. Tried there grilled cheese with brie on wheat instead of cheddar on sourdough and it was my comfort food.

I haven driven by The Rabbit Hole many times since it opened, I was a bit curious as to what kind of restaurant it was - and I left it at that. I read about it in a local magazine (can't recall the name) yesterday and I met a friend for lunch today. I will be going back soon! A vegan, vegetarian and healthy restaurant with delicious fare in Agoura Hills...finally and yay! I ran into some people I knew who were there - they suggested the grilled kale salad. I got it with grilled tofu. It was amazing! Friendly staff, nice vibe...I had trouble backing out of a tight spot when I was leaving. I went in to see whose car was next to mine to ask them to move it. The owner told me he would help me. He actually came out and directed me in backing out with kindness. No need to ask Alice - do your body a favor and visit The Rabbit Hole!

Im glad these guys are here. They are right across the street and are perfect for a Saturday morning french press and croissant. This is what would make it perfect for me. - Juice. Fresh squeezed our however you want to do it. Doesn't have to be orange. I felt bad when you caught me going down to the star liqour to get a carrot and orange juice. Busted. - I am also not a vegetarian. So I mean....my girlfriend eats the food. I get the baked goods. However, you guys are awesome. And we love you guys. So I wont beg for bacon. Ill try eating something thats not in the display case this weekend. I promise.

My husband and I just stopped in here for breakfast on our way up the coast during our move. We were initially greeted with a bowl of water for our dogs who sat with us outside on the patio and we continued to be pleased with the service at this establishment! The food was excellent as well! I highly recommend the high protein porridge! Delicious!

Could anything be better than a vegetarian breakfast burrito? How about a vegan organic breakfast burrito!? Believe it! Yelp is so cool - I was stuck in Agoura for an hour and wanted breakfast. You'd never find a place like this, tucked away in a strip mall, without help from Yelp. Homemade Ayurvedic Chai too, and all the good vibes, nice staff and cool clientele you'd expect from a place that serves organic vegan goodies.

Wonderland motif. I had the grilled cheese and the Queen of Hearts salad. My grilled cheese was quite tasty, filled with gooey cheese and buttery goodness. They add a little pesto aioli to it which gives it a little twist. The Queen of Hearts salad wasn't quite what I expected. Chickpeas, beets and quinoa and mixed greens. The only thing is the chickpeas are mixed in with the beets (diced) and quinoa, so it becomes a beet colored combination that isn't exactly appetizing looking. I pictured it separate and undyed by beet juice. It tasted OK, but I was a slightly offput by the presentation. I would try this place again.

Four stars because they have kelp noodles and I LOVE them! The place is healthier and more vegetarian than I would traditionally eat at, but it's great for those of you that love eating like bunnies. I ordered the grilled kale salad and queen of hearts salads and both were healthy and delicious. Try their protein balls. It's like candy but healthy for you. I love the pumpkin pie one and the PB & Mint ones.

Love this place and what it offers! Presumably my favourite place in the Westlake/Thousand Oaks area. No place like it that offers such high quality food! It's well worth the visit! Being a Seattleite I love places like this, which provide great atmosphere and great quality food. The service is always excellent and I plan to make this a regular spot to relax and enjoy coffee/meal.

At first from the outside I was worried about the food if it would be just as bad as the view. The place was designed beautiful with Alice in wonderland theme. The food was amazing which I got the kale salad and straw banshee smoothie. I'm definitely coming back here

Discovered this place a few weeks ago. Fabulous! We're a mixed family....vegans, omnivores and every version in-between. The Rabbit Hole Cafe has something GREAT for everyone - not just a token vegan option - something GREAT for everyone! Thanks!

It's awesome. Even if I wasn't eating gluten free and my wife was eating vegan, I would eat here. Sandwiches are great, desserts are great, sides are great. My only bad thing would be the pizza is overpriced for it's size. Love this place.
